THE following notice, received from the Chairman of the Board of the Kaponga Town District, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913.

KAPONGA TOWN DISTRICT.
In the matter of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and in the matter of a loan of £3,000 for the purpose of metal-ling and asphalting roads and streets within the town district, and forming and making footpaths with tarred surfaces and water-channels and kerbing on such roads and streets.
I HEREBY certify that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Town District of Kaponga, taken on the 20th day of November, 1923, on the above proposal, the number of votes recorded were as follows:—
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 21; the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 2; the number of informal votes, nil.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

ONE TREE HILL ROAD DISTRICT.
Result of Poll on Proposal to raise a Loan.
PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and its amendments, I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the One Tree Hill Road District was taken on the 7th day of November, 1923, on the proposal of the One Tree Hill Road Board to borrow the sum of £18,000 for the construction of drainage reticulation in the portion of the One Tree Hill Road District as hereby defined: Commencing at Lot 1 at the south corner of the intersection of Green Lane with the Great South Road, the line of the south-west side of the latter as far as the south-east boundary of Lot 8 on D.P. 16452, along the same and the south-east boundary of Lots 24, 23, 22, 21, and the eastern boundaries of Lot 20 and the south-west boundary of same, 390 links; thence through Allotments 17A and 16, by lines 198° 11’, 1375 links; 287° 10’, 405 links; and 217° 56’, as far as the north-east boundary of Allotment 15 (be the same distances a little more or less); down the same to the north-west boundary of Cadman Settlement, along it to boundary between Lots 34 and 35 of Cadman Settlement; thence down same to Arawa Street, along its north-west side to the production of the north-east boundary of Lot 52, along this line and boundary and south-east boundary of the same lot to the north-east boundary of Allotment 7 on D.P. 9482; thence following the north-east boundaries of this lot to Horotutu Road, along its north-east side to boundary of Allotments 7 and 8, across Horotutu Road by a right line, and along south-east boundary of Allotment 2, 472·32 links; thence north-west in the production of the north-east side of Kowhai Road to south-east boundary of Allotment 1, along it to the boundary of Onehunga Borough, along it to Campbell Road; across same by a right line and down its north-west side to boundary between Lots 63 and 64 on D.P. 15669; along the same and a production of it to the Grand Drive; along its eastern side to Green Lane, returning by the boundary of the present drainage-area to the point of commencement.
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 62; the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 10.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

THE following notice, received from the Chairman of the Board of the Otago Central Electric-power District, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913.

OTAGO CENTRAL ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD.
PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that on 28th September, 1923, a poll was taken of the ratepayers of the inner area of the Otago Central Electric-power District, on a proposal to raise a loan of £25,000 (twenty-five thousand pounds sterling) for—(a) The construction of high-tension transmission-line from Teviot, including step-down station, and reticulation of inner area to consumers premises; (b) paying the interest and sinking fund of the loan during the period of construction of the works for which the loan is proposed to be raised; (c) paying expenses preliminary to the constitution of the Otago Central Electric-power Board District; (d) paying preliminary expenses incurred in connection with the scheme for which the special loan is sought to be raised.
The votes recorded on the proposal as certified to by the Returning Officer were—for the proposal, 172; against the proposal, 17.
The proposal was therefore carried.
