Appointments, Promotions, Resignations, and Transfers of Officers of the Territorial Force.

Wellington, 5th November, 1923.
His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve of the appointments, promotions, resignations, and transfers of the undermentioned officers of the Territorial Force.
COMMANDS.
The period of command of Lieut.-Colonel W. H. Cunningham, D.S.O., Wellington West Coast Regiment (1st Battalion), is extended for one year as from the 30th August, 1923.
The period of command of Lieut.-Colonel R. St. J. Beere, D.S.O., Wellington Regiment (1st Battalion), is extended for one year as from the 2nd October, 1923.
2ND N.Z. MOUNTED RIFLES (QUEEN ALEXANDRA'S WELLINGTON WEST COAST).
The undermentioned to be Lieutenants:
2nd Lieutenant O. L. Ferens. Dated 1st October, 1923.
2nd Lieutenant B. W. Harvey. Dated 1st October, 1923.

Captain V. Crawshaw retires under the provisions of General Order No. 184/21, with permission to retain his rank and wear the prescribed uniform. Dated 17th October, 1923.

Result of Poll for Proposed Loan.
Wellington, 1st November, 1923.
The following notice, received from the Chairman of the Council of the County of Ashburton, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913.
ASHBURTON COUNTY COUNCIL.
In pursuance of the provisions of section 12 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that, on the 23rd day of October, 1923, a poll of the ratepayers in that part of the County of Ashburton which is situated within the Methven Water-supply Area entitled to vote was taken upon a proposal by the Ashburton County Council to raise a loan of Β£10,000 to defray the cost of constructing works for the supply of water for domestic and industrial purposes in the said area, and at such poll the number of votes recorded for and against the said proposal was as follows:-
For the proposal, 106; against the proposal, 7.
As the total number of valid votes recorded in favour of the proposal was three-fifths of the total number of valid votes recorded at the poll, I declare the said proposal to be carried.

Results of Polls for Proposed Loans.

The following notices, received from the Mayor of the Council of the Borough of Onehunga, are published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913.
BOROUGH OF ONEHUNGA.
Results of Polls on Proposals to raise Loans.
Pursuant to section 12 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Onehunga was taken on the 27th day of September, 1923, on the proposal of the Onehunga Borough Council to borrow the sum of Β£75,000 for formation of roads and footpaths.
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 733; the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 517.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.
Pursuant to section 12 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Onehunga was taken on the 27th day of September, 1923, on the proposal of the Onehunga Borough
