And whereas it is expedient to make the desired alteration:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby declare that as on and from the first day of April, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-three, the area described in the Schedule hereto now comprised within the County of Waimairi shall be included in the City of Christchurch.

SCHEDULE.

AREA INCLUDED IN CITY OF CHRISTCHURCH.

ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District bounded by a line commencing at the junction of May’s Road and Rutland Street, and proceeding thence along the south-western boundary of Rural Section 1048 to the Papanui Drain; thence along the centre of that drain to the north-western side of Main North Road, along that side of road to Langdon’s Road, and along the north-western side of said Langdon’s Road to Rural Section 112; thence along the south-eastern boundary of that section, and its production to a point 300 links distant from the south-western side of Harewood Road; thence south-easterly and parallel to the said Harewood Road to Lot 8, deposited plan 2075; thence along the north-western boundaries of Lots 8, 5, 6, and 7, deposited plan 2075, and Lots 1, 2, 3, and 3A, deposited plan 1656, and Lots 5 and 6, deposited plan 3832, and Lot 1, deposited plan 2444; thence south-easterly along the south-western boundaries of Lots 1, 2, 3, and 4, across Rosewarne Road, Lots 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37, 38, 39, 40, and 41, deposited plan 2444, to the southernmost corner of said Lot 41; thence along a right line to the easternmost corner of Lot 7, deposited plan 2150, along the south-eastern boundary of said Lot 7, and its production to the south-western side of Wairarapa Road, along that side of said Wairarapa Road to Jeffrey’s Road, along the southern side of Jeffrey’s Road to the boundary of the City of Christchurch, and along that boundary to the point of commencement.

Consenting to Land being taken for the Purposes of widening Willis Street, in the City of Wellington.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 17th day of January, 1923.

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE W. F. MASSEY, P.C., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the land described in the Schedule hereto being taken for the purposes of widening Willis Street in the City of Wellington, portion of such land being occupied by a garden.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land being taken: 1·54 perches.

Being portion of Section 117, Town of Wellington, situated in the City of Wellington. (S.O. 1718.)

In the Wellington Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 56085, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon bordered red.

Declaring Portion of Tauraroa Valley Road, in the Otorohanga County, to be a County Road.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 17th day of January, 1923.

Present:

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE W. F. MASSEY, P.C., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become a county road.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that portion of road in the Auckland Land District, Otorohanga County, known as Tauraroa Valley Road, commencing at its junction with the Waipa River Road, and proceeding thence generally in an easterly direction, adjoining or passing through part Rangitoto A 45B 1B, A 45B 2A, A 45B 2B, and part A 46B, Block XV, Mangaorongo Survey District, for a distance of 1 mile 14 chains, and terminating at a point on the eastern boundary of the said county. As the said portion of road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 56205, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red and marked A–B.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become a county road.

ALL that portion of road in the Auckland Land District, Otorohanga County, known as Hauturu Road, commencing at its junction with Awaroa Road, and proceeding thence generally in a southerly direction, adjoining or passing through part Tapuaehounuku 2A, Block XIII, Pirongia Survey District, and Section 5A, Block I, Orahiri Survey District, and terminating at the northernmost corner of Section 6 (reserve), Block I, Orahiri Survey District; being a distance of two miles, more or less. As the said portion of road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 56206, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red and marked B–A.
