In the matter of THE MAORILAND WORKER PRINTING AND
PUBLISHING COMPANY (LIMITED), in Liquidation.

A GENERAL meeting of the above company will be held
on Wednesday, the 22nd day of August, at 2.30 p.m.,
at 290 Wakefield Street, Wellington, for the purpose of con-
sidering the report of the Liquidator in connection with the
winding-up of the above-named company.

THE following resolutions were passed by the shareholders
of RUDKIN AND CORDERY CENTRAL GARAGE (LIMITED)
on 24th July, 1923 :-

  1. That the company be wound up voluntarily.
  2. That LIONEL LINGWOOD CORDERY, Accountant, of
    Christchurch, be and he is hereby appointed Liquidator for
    the purpose of such winding-up.

THE MAORILAND MINES (LIMITED).

NOTICE OF EXTRAORDINARY RESOLUTION TO WIND UP.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908, and the amend-
ments thereof; and in the matter of THE MAORILAND
MINES (LIMITED).

AT an extraordinary general meeting of the members of
the above-named company duly convened and held at
Waihi on the 31st July, 1923, the following extraordinary
resolution was duly passed :-

"That it has been proved to the satisfaction of the share-
holders that the company cannot by reason of its liabilities
continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up the
same, and that the same be wound up accordingly. And at
the same meeting CHARLES BLYTH HARPER, of Waihi, was
appointed Liquidator for the purpose of such winding-up."

THAIN AND COMPANY (LIMITED), in Liquidation.

NOTICE is hereby given, in pursuance of section 230 of
the Companies Act, 1908, that an extraordinary
general meeting of shareholders of the above company will
be held at the offices of Messrs. Silk, Haworth, and Com-
pany, No. 44 Maria Place, Wanganui, on Monday, 20th
August, 1923, at 2.30 p.m., for the purpose of having an
account laid before them showing the manner in which the
winding-up has been conducted and the property of the
company disposed of, and of hearing any explanation that

THE PARITUTU OIL COMPANY (LIMITED).

IN LIQUIDATION.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Paritutu Oil Company
(Limited) has gone into voluntary liquidation; and
VALENTINE DUFF, of New Plymouth, Public Accountant, has
been appointed Liquidator.

Creditors are requested to lodge their claims with the
Liquidator on or before the first day of September, 1923.

RESOLUTION.

THE following regulations were laid before the members
of the Avondale Jockey Club (Incorporated) at a
meeting held on the 10th day of July, 1923. at Auckland, with
a recommendation by the Chairman of such club, Mr. Donald
McLeod, that the same be passed at once with a view to their
approval !by His Excellency the Governor-General, in pur-
suance of the Gaming Act, 1908, section 33.

Mr. Donald McLeod, the Chairman of such club and the
meeting, moved, and Mr. I. W. Russell seconded, and it was
resolved, that such regulations should be adopted, and that
the Chairman and Secretary be authorized to sign the same
in authentication thereof.

The following are the regulations referred to :-

AVONDALE JOCKEY CLUB (INCORPORATED).

REGULATIONS.

(Under the Gaming Act, 1908.)

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers in that behalf con-
tained in section 33 of the Gaming Act, 1908, and of all other
powers and authorities it enabling in that behalf, the Avon-
dale Jockey Club, a racing club within the meaning of the said
Act (hereinafter referred to as " the said club "), doth hereby
revoke the regulations dated the 20th day of December, 1918,
and in lieu thereof doth hereby make the following regulations
controlling the admission of persons to that part of the course
situated in the district of Avondale, and known as the Avon-
dale Racecourse, while the said racecourse is used or occupied
by the said club for race meetings.

  1. These regulations shall come into force on the date of the
    same being published in the New Zealand Gazette.

  2. In these regulations the words " bookmaker," " racing
    club," and " race meeting " shall have the meanings ascribed
    to those terms respectively by section 2 of the Gaming Act,

  3. The following persons shall be and are hereby excluded
    from the racecourse above described while the same is used or
    occupied by the said club for a race meeting, namely,-
    (a.) Bookmakers.
    (b.) Bookmakers' clerks, bookmakers' assistants, and book-
    makers' agents.
    (c.) All persons under disqualification inflicted by any
    racing or trotting club in the Dominion of New
    Zealand, the Commonwealth of Australia, or else-
    where, if affiliated to the New Zealand Racing Con-
    ference, or the New Zealand Trotting Conference,
    or the New Zealand Trotting Association.
    (d.) Common prostitutes, and persons who habitually con-
    sort with thieves or persons who have no lawful
    visible means of support.
