(e.) Professional tipsters, persons convicted of house-
breaking or pocket-picking, forgery, uttering or
possessing counterfeit coin, theft, false pretences,
receiving stolen goods, mischief, assault, or any
offence or crime of any kind under the Crimes Act,
1908, and also idle and disorderly persons, rogues
and vagabonds, and incorrigible rogues convicted
under the Police Offences Act, 1908, and persons
convicted of an offence under the Gaming Act, 1908.
Provided always that the Stipendiary Stewards' Committee
appointed by the New Zealand Racing Conference, upon being
satisfied by evidence as to character and otherwise that any
person who, by reason of any conviction, comes within the
scope of this regulation should have relief from the effect
thereof, may grant exemption to any such person, and may at
any time revoke any such exemption without notice to such
person, and without assigning any reason for such revocation.
The foregoing regulations of the Avondale Jockey Club
(Incorporated) were made and passed by such club on the 10th
day of July, 1923, and signed by the Chairman and Secretary.

SOUTHLAND MANUFACTURING COMPANY (LIMITED).
IN LIQUIDATION.-LIQUIDATOR'S REPORT.
I SUBMIT hereto statement of receipts and expenditure
of the above company in liquidation.
The assets realized a total of £930 5s. 7d., from which have
to be deducted the expenses incidental to the realization, of
£18 14s. 3d. The balance of £911 11s. 4d., being insufficient
to satisfy the amount owing to the National Bank of
New Zealand (Limited) under their debenture, it was necessary
to call on the guarantor for the sum of £92 11s. 10d.
As a consequence there was nothing left either to liquidate
the unsecured creditors, amounting to £1,933 10s. 5d., or
provide any return of capital to shareholders.

In the matter of THE FEDERAL HARDWARE AND FURNISH-
ING COMPANY (LIMITED).
A T an extraordinary general meeting of the above company
duly convened and held at Gore on the 9th day of
July, 1923, the following special resolution was duly passed,
and at a subsequent extraordinary general meeting of the
members of the said company also duly convened and held
at Gore on the 25th day of July, 1923, the following resolution
was duly confirmed :--
"That the company be wound up voluntarily; and that
ROBERT McCREATH, of Gore, Company Manager, be and he
is hereby appointed Liquidator for the purpose of such
winding-up."

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908; and of THE
SILVERSTREAM TURBINE WATER-POWER LIME-WORKS
(LIMITED), in Liquidation.
A T an extraordinary general meeting of the shareholders
of the above-named company duly convened and held
at Bainham on the 6th day of July, 1923, the following extra-
ordinary resolution was duly passed :-
"That it is proved to the satisfaction of the shareholders
that the company cannot by reason of its liabilities continue
its business, and that it is advisable to wind up the same."
At a subsequent extraordinary general meeting held on
the 25th day of July, 1923, F. C. RICHARDSON, of Rockville,
Accountant, and E. B. LANGFORD, of Bainham, Secretary,
were appointed Liquidators for the purpose of such winding-
up.
