I, WILLIAM ARCHIBALD JOHNSTON, M.B., Ch.B.,
now residing in Christchurch, hereby give notice that
I intend applying on the 2nd September next to have my
name placed on the Medical Register of the Dominion of New
Zealand; and that I have deposited the evidence of my
qualification in the office of the Registrar of Births and
Deaths at Christchurch.

BARGAINS LIMITED (PRIVATE COMPANY).
IN LIQUIDATION.
NOTICE is hereby given that the following extraordinary
resolution was passed on the 25th day of July, 1923,
at Wellington, and signed by all the shareholders of the
above-named company :—
"That this company (Bargains Limited) be wound up
voluntarily under the provisions of the Companies Act, 1908;
and that Mr. DUNCAN McKAY, of Wellington, Accountant,
be and he is hereby appointed Liquidator for the purpose of
such winding-up."

NOTICE is hereby given that on the 28th of July, 1923,
the above-named company duly passed the following
extraordinary resolution :—
That it has been proved to the satisfaction of the company
that the said company cannot by reason of its liabilities
continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up
the same, and accordingly that the company be wound up
voluntarily under the provisions of the Companies Act, 1908,
and its amendments.

IN LIQUIDATION.
In the matter of S. WINN AND COMPANY (LIMITED), in
Liquidation.
THE following extraordinary resolution was duly passed
at an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders
of the above company held on the 24th day of July, 1923 :—
That the company be wound up voluntarily, it having
been proved to its satisfaction that it cannot by reason of
its liabilities continue its business, and that it is advisable
to wind up the same.
A further resolution was passed appointing EDGAR ROLLO
NEALE and SAMUEL WINN to be Liquidators.

RESOLUTION.
THE following regulations were laid before the members
of the Taikorea Sports Club at a meeting held on the
17th day of July, 1923, at Taikorea, with a recommendation
by the Chairman of such club, Mr. S. E. Algar, that the
same be passed at once with a view to their approval by His
Excellency the Governor-General, in pursuance of the Gaming
Act, 1908, section 33.
Mr. S. E. Algar, the Chairman of such club and the meeting,
moved, and Mr. M. J. Helier seconded, and it was resolved,
that such regulations should be adopted, and that the Chair-
man and Secretary be authorized to sign the same in authenti-
cation thereof.
The following are the regulations referred to :—
THE TAIKOREA SPORTS CLUB.
REGULATIONS.
(Under the Gaming Act, 1908.)
In pursuance and exercise of the powers in that behalf con-
tained in section 33 of the Gaming Act, 1908, and of all
other powers and authorities it enabling in that behalf, the
Taikorea Sports Club, a racing club within the meaning of
the said Act (hereinafter referred to as “ the said club ”), doth
hereby make the following regulations controlling the admis-
sion of persons to that part of the Sports Ground situated
in the district of Taikorea, and known as Hancock’s Paddock
Racecourse, while the said racecourse is used or occupied by
the said club for race meetings.
- These regulations shall come into force on the date of
the same being published in the New Zealand Gazette. - In these regulations the words “ bookmaker,” “ racing
club,” and “ race meeting ” shall have the meanings ascribed
to those terms respectively by section 2 of the Gaming Act, - The following persons shall be and are hereby excluded
from the racecourse above described while the same is used
or occupied by the said club for a race meeting, namely,—
(a.) Bookmakers.
(b.) Bookmakers’ clerks, bookmakers’ assistants, and
bookmakers’ agents.
(c.) All persons under disqualification inflicted by any
racing or trotting club in the Dominion of New
Zealand, the Commonwealth of Australia, or else-
where, if affiliated to the New Zealand Racing Con-
ference, or the New Zealand Trotting Conference,
or the New Zealand Trotting Association.
(d.) Common prostitutes, and persons who habitually con-
sort with thieves or persons who have no lawful
visible means of support.
(e.) Professional tipsters, persons convicted of house-
breaking or pocket-picking, forgery, uttering or
possessing counterfeit coin, theft, false pretences,
receiving stolen goods, mischief, assault, or any
offence or crime of any kind under the Crimes Act,
1908, and also idle and disorderly persons, rogues
and vagabonds, and incorrigible rogues convicted
under the Police Offences Act, 1908, and persons
convicted of an offence under the Gaming Act, 1908.
Provided always that the Stipendiary Stewards’ Committee
appointed by the New Zealand Racing Conference, upon being
satisfied by evidence as to character and otherwise that any
person who, by reason of any conviction, comes within the
scope of this regulation should have relief from the effect
thereof, may grant exemption to any such person, and may at
any time revoke any such exemption without notice to such
person, and without assigning any reason for such revocation.
The foregoing regulations of the Taikorea Sports Club were
made and passed by such club on the 17th day of July, 1923,
and signed by the Chairman and Secretary.

residing in Rotorua, hereby give notice that I intend applying

on the Medical Register of the Dominion of New Zealand;
and that I have deposited the evidence of my qualification
in the office of the Registrar of Births and Deaths at Auckland.
