Proclamation dated the twenty-fifth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-three, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 54, of the twenty-eighth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-three, that the number of representatives of each constituent district on the Board of the said district, on and after dates of the next general elections of members of the Malvern Electric-power Board, shall be the number specified in the second column of the Schedule hereto opposite the name of that constituent district.

Declaring Portion of Mangatiti East Road, in the Waimarino County, to be a County Road.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 6th day of August, 1923.

His Excellency the Governor-General in Council.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become a county road.
SCHEDULE.
All that portion of road in the Wellington Land District, Waimarino County, known as the Mangatiti East Road, commencing at a point thirty chains north-east of the boundary between Sections 2 and 3, Block XI, Whirinaki Survey District, and proceeding generally in a westerly direction, adjoining or passing through part of the said Sections 2 and 3, and terminating at a point ten chains west of the boundary between Sections 2 and 3 aforesaid; being a distance of forty chains, more or less. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 57522, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become a county road.

All that portion of the Ohura-Mokau (or Miroahuião-Matiere) Road in the Taranaki Land District, Ohura County, commencing at its junction with the Pirere Road in Section 4, Block VII, Aria Survey District, and proceeding thence generally in a north-easterly and then south-easterly direction, adjoining or passing through the said Section 4 and Section 3, Block VII, Aria Survey District, and Sections 1, 2, 3, and 61c Section 3 and Section 4, Block VIII, Aria Survey District, and terminating at a point ten chains north-west of the junction of the Tapuiwahine Road in the said Section 61c Section 3, Block VIII, Aria Survey District; being a distance of two miles and a half, more or less. As the said portion of road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 57599, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.

Prescribing the Term for which the Mangawara River Board may borrow the Sum of £650 authorized to be raised for repaying an Advance made by the Treasury, and also the Rate of Interest payable thereon.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 6th day of August, 1923.

WHEREAS section eleven of the Finance Act, 1921, as amended by section six of the Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1921, provides that, notwithstanding anything to the contrary in any Act or in any rule of law, where a local authority or public body has been authorized before the passing of the said Act, or is thereafter authorized, to borrow money, whether pursuant to a poll of ratepayers or otherwise howsoever, whether the rate of interest or the term of years of the loan was or was not specified or determined, and such money or any part thereof has not been borrowed, the local authority may, with the precedent consent of the Minister of Finance, borrow such money, or such amount thereof as has not been borrowed, at such rate of interest, or for such term not less than ten years, as may be prescribed by the Governor-General by Order in Council :
And whereas the Mangawara River Board has been authorized to borrow the sum of six hundred and fifty pounds for repaying an advance made by the Treasury :
And whereas the Minister of Finance has given his precedent consent as required by the above-recited section eleven, and it is desired that the term for which the money may be borrowed be twenty years, and the rate of interest payable thereon be not exceeding six per centum per annum :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in him as aforesaid, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby prescribe that the term for which the Mangawara River Board may borrow the said sum of six hundred and fifty pounds shall be twenty years, and the rate of interest payable thereon shall be a rate not exceeding six per centum per annum, and the said Mangawara River Board is hereby authorized to borrow the said sum of six hundred and fifty pounds accordingly.

Prohibiting all Alienation of certain Native Land other than Alienation in favour of the Crown.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 6th day of August, 1923.

His Excellency the Governor-General in Council.
ON the recommendation of the Native Land Purchase Board, referred to in section three hundred and sixty-three of the Native Land Act, 1909, and in exercise of the power in this behalf conferred upon him by that section, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby prohibit, for the period of one year from the date of this Order in Council, all alienation of the Native land specified in the Schedule hereto other than alienation in favour of the Crown.
