A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the Land Board of the North Auckland
Land District has recommended that the Crown
tenant of the land enumerated in the Schedule hereto should
be afforded relief, owing to exceptional circumstances over
which he has no control preventing the profitable occupa-
tion of such land:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power
and authority conferred upon me by section twenty-five of
the Reserves and other Lands Disposal and Public Bodies
Empowering Act, 1911, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby
proclaim and declare the land enumerated in the Schedule
hereto to be subject to the provisions of section one hundred
and twenty-seven of the Land Act, 1908; and I do further
fix two years from the date mentioned in the said Schedule
as the period for which the said land shall be exempt from
payment of rent.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.

SECTION 28, Block XII, Tokatoka Survey District: 1st Jan-
uary, 1922.

Auckland Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by
section eleven of the Land Act, 1908, I, John Rush-
worth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion
of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as a road the land in
the Wharepapa Survey District described in the Schedule
hereto.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land proclaimed as a
road: 3 acres 1 rood 8·4 perches.

Portion of Section 1, situated in Block XI, Wharepapa
Survey District.

In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 5/159,
deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and
Survey, at Wellington, under No. 2012, and thereon coloured
red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 18th day of April,
1923.

Karamu, Block VII, Alexandra Survey District, Auckland
Land District, to be a Public Road.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto
was, by an order of the Native Land Court made on
the nineteenth day of December, one thousand nine hundred
twenty-two, duly laid off as a road-line, in pursuance of
sections forty-nine and fifty of the Native Land Amendment
Act, 1913:

And whereas the said Court is of the opinion that the said
road-line should be proclaimed as a public road, and a notifi-
cation to that effect has been forwarded to the Minister of
Lands, in terms of section fifty-one of the said Act:

And whereas one month’s notice in writing of the intention
to proclaim the said road-line as a public road has been given
by the Surveyor-General to the local authority of the district
concerned, in terms of section fifteen of the Native Land
Amendment Act, 1914:

And whereas it is now expedient that the said road-line
should be proclaimed as a public road:

Now, therefore, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in
pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by sections
forty-nine and fifty of the Native Land Amendment Act,
1913, and in so far as each of these sections is applicable, do
hereby proclaim as a public road the road-line described in
the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land proclaimed as a road:
9 acres 3 roods.

Portion of Lot 197, Parish of Karamu, Block VII, Alexandra
Survey District.

In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 5/171,
deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and
Survey, at Wellington, under No. 2013, and thereon coloured
yellow.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 20th day of April,
1923.

Allocating to the Purposes of a Road Land in Block XVII,
Waikari Survey District, taken for a Railway.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of
every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in
this behalf, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby pro-
claim and declare that the land which is described in the
Schedule hereto—and which was taken for a portion of the
branch of the Hurunui–Waitaki Railway from Waipara to a
point in the neighbourhood of the Township of Mackenzie
(Waipara–Hurunui River Section), and which is no longer
required for such purposes—shall, upon the publication hereof
in the New Zealand Gazette, become a road, and that the said
road shall be maintained by the Waipara County Council in
like manner as other public highways are controlled and
maintained by the said Council.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land dealt with: 30·7
perches.

Being portion of Section 7538 (railway reserve), Block XVII,
Waikari Survey District (Canterbury R.D.). (S.O. 825/370.)

In the Canterbury Land District; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 56208,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at
Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon
coloured blue.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 18th day of April,
1923.
