Riding Boundaries and adjusting Representation.

THE following special order, made by the Coromandel
County Council, is published in accordance with the
provisions of the Counties Act, 1920.
Pursuant to section 100 of that Act, as amended by sec-
tion 3 of the Counties Amendment Act, 1921 22, I hereby
fix the 31st day of March, 1923, as th date from which the
special order shall take effect.

SPECIAL ORDER.
ALTERING RIDINGS AND ADJUSTING REPRESENTATION IN
COROMANDEL COUNTY.
In exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 23 of
the Counties Act, 1920, the Coromandel County Council
resolves, by way of special order, as follows :-

  1. The present division of the County of Coromandel
    into three ridings is hereby altered to a division into six
    ridings, to be called respectively Colville Riding, Coromandel
    Riding, Kuaotunu Riding, Whangapoua Riding, Whenuakite
    Riding, and Whitianga Riding, which said ridings are respec-
    tively described in the Schedule hereto.
  2. The Coromandel County Council shall consist of nine
    members, who shall be elected as follows :-
    Name of Riding.

    to be elected for Riding
    by Electors of Riding.

  3. The alteration hereby made shall take effect on a date
    to be fixed in that behalf by the Minister of Internal Affairs
    and notified in the Gazette.
    SCHEDULE.
    Colville Riding.
    All that area in the Auckland Land District, Coromandel
    County, commencing at Taihaperahi on the coast of Hauraki
    Gulf, bounded towards the west generally by the Hauraki
    Gulf; towards the north and east generally by the sea to the
    north boundary of the Parish of Wainuiototo ; towards the
    south, east, and south by the said Wainuiototo Parish and the
    north boundary of the Coromandel Survey District to the
    point of commencement.
    Coromandel Riding.
    All that area in the Auckland Land District, Coromandel
    County, commencing at Taihaperahi, bounded towards the
    north by the Colville Riding above described to the Parish of
    Wainuiototo; toward the east generally by said Wainuiototo
    Parish, Te Pungapunga No. 1 Block, across a road, again
    by the said Te Pungapunga No. 1, Hikutawatawa, Piripiri,
    Waitekuri, Te Ranga, by the said Waitekuri, Opitonui,
    across a road, by said Opitonui Blocks, by Sections 8, 7,
    Block XV, Coromandel Survey District, across a road, by
    said Section 7 and Section 11 of said Block XV, by Section 7,
    Block IV, Hastings Survey District, across a road, by said
    Section 7, by the south boundary of Waiparapara Block to
    and by the west boundary of Block IV, Hastings Survey
    District, to the south boundary of the Coromandel County;
    towards the south and west generally by the Coromandel
    County boundary to the point of commencement.
    Whangapoua Riding.
    All that area in the Auckland Land District, Coromandel
    County, commencing at the south-east corner of Colville
    Riding hereinbefore described, bounded towards the north
    generally by the sea, Whangapoua Harbour, and again by the
    sea to the north-east corner of Omaro Block; towards the
    east generally by the east boundary of the aforesaid Omaro
    Block, the Whangapoua Harbour, by the east boundaries of
    Otanguru, Opu, Owera Blocks, across a road, again by the
    east boundary of Owera Block, across a road, again by east
    boundary of said Owera Block and the east boundary of
    Section 18, Block XII, Coromandel Survey District, and
    across a road; towards the south generally by Sections 22,
    21, 27, Block XVI, Coromandel Survey District, and Sec-
    tion 4, Block XV of said survey district, the road forming
    the north boundary of Sections 5 and 7, Block XV aforesaid,
    and by Section 7 aforesaid; towards the west and north-
    west generally by the Coromandel and Colville Ridings herein-
    before described to the point of commencement.
    Kuaotunu Riding.
    All that area in the Auckland Land District, Coromandel
    County, commencing at the north-east corner of Omaro
    Block, bounded towards the north generally by the sea;
    towards the south-east generally by Mercury Bay to the
    Taputapu Creek; towards the south generally by the afore-
    said Taputapu Creek, part Weiti No. 1 Block, Sections 16, 24,
    again by 16 and 17, Block XII, Coromandel Survey District,
    to the Whangapoua Riding; towards the north-west and
    west generally by the Whangapoua Riding hereinbefore
    described to the point of commencement.
    Whitianga Riding.
    All that area in the Auckland Land District, Coromandel
    County, commencing at the northernmost corner of Section 7,
    Block XV, Coromandel Survey District, bounded towards
    the north generally by the Whangapoua and Kuaotunu
    Ridings hereinbefore described to Mercury Bay; towards
    the east generally by Mercury Bay and the Whitianga Harbour
    to a point the production of the south-east boundary of
    Ounuoroa Block; towards the south-east by a right line to
    and by the south-east boundary of Ounuoroa Block, by
    the north-east boundary of Section 11, Block V, Hastings
    Survey District, by the south-east boundaries of said Sec-
    tion 11 and Section 12 of said Block V, and the south-east
    boundary of Section 13, Block IX, Hastings Survey District,
    and that boundary produced to the south boundary of the
    Coromandel County; towards the south-west by the Coro-
    mandel County boundary; and towards the west generally
    by Coromandel Riding hereinbefore described to the point
    of commencement.
    Whenuakite Riding.
    All that area in the Auckland Land District, Coromandel
    County, commencing at the south-east corner of the Whiti-
    anga Riding at a point the production of the south-east
