Setting apart Crown Lands under Section 20 of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1912.
JELLICOE, Governor-General.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section twenty of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1912, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby set apart the lands described in the Schedule hereto for disposal under the section of the Act mentioned.

Results of Polls for Proposed Loans.

THE following notices, received from the Mayor of the Council of the Borough of Avondale, are published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913.

BOROUGH OF AVONDALE.
Results of Polls on Proposals to raise Loans.
PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that a poll of ratepayers of the Borough of Avondale was taken on the 28th day of October, 1922, on the proposal of the Avondale Borough Council to borrow a sum of £26,000 for the construction of a main sewer.
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 173, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 346.
I therefore declare that the proposal was rejected.
PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that a poll of ratepayers of the Borough of Avondale was taken on the 28th day of October, 1922, on the proposal of the Avondale Borough Council to borrow the sum of £6,000 for the acquisition of stone-crusher, road-making plant, purchase of land, and provision of buildings, fire-brigade station, and appliances, and landing-stage at Whau Creek.
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 319, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 207.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.
