this behalf, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of a road; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the twenty-ninth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-two.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand; and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this 8th day of November, 1922.

Prison for Females declared to be a Prison Hospital.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand intituled the Prisoners Detention Act, 1915, it is provided that the Governor-General may by Proclamation declare any hospital, or any part of a hospital or of a prison or police-gaol, to be a prison hospital for the purposes of that Act:

Now, therefore, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance of the above-recited power and authority, do hereby declare that the prison for females situate on the military reserve at Point Halswell, Wellington, and known as the Point Halswell Reformatory Prison, and the exercise-yards and other yards used in connection therewith, shall be a prison hospital within the meaning and for the purposes of the Prisoners Detention Act, 1915.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand; and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this 8th day of November, 1922.

Declaring Trowson’s Kauri Park in the North Auckland Land District to be a Sanctuary under the Animals Protection and Game Act, 1921–22.

JELLICOE, Governor-General.

PURSUANT to the powers vested in me by the Animals Protection and Game Act, 1921–22, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the area described in the Schedule hereto shall be a sanctuary for the purposes of the said Act, and that no imported or native game shall be taken or killed within the said area except pursuant to an authority granted under section thirty-one or section thirty-two of the said Act; nor shall any person, except under such conditions as may from time to time be prescribed by the Minister, take any dog or firearm into such area, or discharge any firearm or explosive in such area, or do anything likely to cause any imported game or native game to leave such area.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 1,077 acres, more or less, and being Section 33, Block XI, Waipoua Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan marked 4/50, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 9th day of November, 1922.

Declaring Road-lines intersecting or adjacent to Land in Teviot Settlement, Otago Land District, to be closed.

JELLICOE, Governor-General.

WHEREAS a report has been received from the Surveyor-General, from which it appears that the roads described in the Schedule hereto are unformed and unused, and that the said roads intersect or are adjacent to land acquired under the Land for Settlements Act, 1908, and are not suitable to the subdivision of such land:

Now, therefore, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of section eighty of the Land for Settlements Act, 1908, as amended by section twenty-eight of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1920, and of all other powers and authorities in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do by this notice hereby close the roads hereinafter described; and I do hereby declare that the said roads shall thereupon become subject to the Land for Settlements Act, 1908.
