Mair; thence by a right line across the Whangarei River to the south-western boundary of the northern portion of Parahaki No. 1 Block containing 7 acres 1 rood 24 perches, by that block and the Parahaki Reserve to the north-western corner of Section 47, Deeds plan No. 60; thence easterly along the northern boundaries of Sections 47 and 55A to a public road, across that road, and thence by a right line intersecting Parahaki No. 3 Block to the northernmost corner of Allotment 2, Parahaki Parish; thence by the north-western and south-western boundaries of that allotment to the western boundary of an allotment containing 7 acres 1 rood 35·6 perches, being part of Allotment 1, Parahaki Parish; thence by that western boundary and the eastern boundary of Lot 23 to a public road, across that road to the Whangarei Harbour; thence north-westerly by the Whangarei Harbour to the borough boundary; and thence by the borough boundary to the point of commencement.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS it is enacted by the Town Boards Act, 1908, that the Governor-General may declare that any locality outside a borough wherein there are not less than fifty householders shall be a town district:
And whereas a petition has been presented to the Governor-General by the inhabitants within the area mentioned and described in the said petition and in the Schedule hereto, praying that such area may be constituted a town district under the Town Boards Act, 1908:
And whereas it is desirable that the said area be constituted a town district:
Now, therefore, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by the Town Boards Act, 1908, and of all other powers enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that as on and from the first day of December, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-two, the area described in the Schedule hereto, being the locality defined in the said petition, shall be a town district, and the same is hereby constituted a town district, under the Town Boards Act, 1908, by the name of the Kaitaia Town District. And, in further pursuance and exercise of the said powers, I do hereby proclaim, declare, and appoint that the Board of Commissioners for the said district shall consist of five members.
SCHEDULE.
KAITAIA TOWN DISTRICT.
ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, situate in Awanui Parish, containing by admeasurement 1,123 acres, more or less. Bounded, commencing at the south-eastern corner of Lot 4B on D.P. 4093, towards the north generally by the southern side of a public road to and across another public road, and again by southern side of aforesaid road to its intersection with the western boundary of Lot 2 on D.P. 9413; thence towards the north-east generally by the western boundary of Lot 2 aforesaid, by the western, south-western, and part of the south-eastern boundaries of part Lot 23 on D.P. 405, by the south-western boundary of Lot 4 on D.P. 15252 to and across a public road, and by the western side of said public road to a point in line with the eastern boundary of Lot 2 on D.P. 393, across said road, and by the south-western boundary of Lot 4 on D.P. 15252 to
and across a public road, and by the south and south-western sides of said public road to the south-eastern corner of Lot 21 on D.P. 405; thence towards the south-east generally by part of the north-western boundary of Lot 24 on D.P. 405 to and across the Kaitaia River, and by left bank of said river to the western boundary of Lot 28 on D.P. 405, by the said western boundary of Lot 28 to and across a public road to the northernmost corner of Lot 30 on D.P. 405, by the north-western boundary of aforesaid Lot 30 to a public road; thence towards the south-west by northern side of aforesaid public road and by the north-eastern boundary of part O.L.C. 7 on D.P. 11562, to and across a public road; again by said north-eastern boundary of part O.L.C. 7 to and across a public road, again by said north-eastern boundary of part O.L.C. 7 to and across Tarawhatura River, again by said north-eastern boundary of part O.L.C. 7 to and across a public road, and again by said north-eastern boundary of part O.L.C. 7 to and across a public road, and by the north-eastern boundary of another part of O.L.C. 7 on D.P. 13320 to the southernmost corner of Lot 2 on D.P. 12051; thence towards the north-west generally by a right line bearing 38° 30′ passing through Lots 2 and 1 on D.P. 12051 to and across the Kaitaia River, and by the right bank of the said river to the southern boundary of Lot 4B on D.P. 4093, and by that boundary to the point of commencement.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section four of the Reserves and other Lands Disposal and Public Bodies Empowering Act, 1915, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare the roads described in the Schedule hereto to be closed, such roads being formerly river-bank roads situated within the district defined in the Schedule to the Rangitaiki Land Drainage Act, 1910.
