DARGAVILLE BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and
the Local Bodies’ Finance Act, 1921–22, and of all other
powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Dargaville Borough
Council hereby resolves as follows :—

That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of
interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Dargaville
Borough Council Antecedent Liability Loan of £13,750, 1922,
authorized to be raised by the Council, under the above-
mentioned Acts, for the purpose of repaying the Council’s
antecedent liability as defined by the Local Bodies’ Finance
Act, 1921–22, the said Dargaville Borough Council hereby
makes and levies a special rate of one and five-sixteenths
pence (1d. and 5/16d.) in the pound sterling on the rateable
value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable
property in the Borough of Dargaville ; and that such special
rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency
of such loan, and be payable on the 1st day of April during
the currency of the said loan, being a period of ten (10) years,
or until the loan is fully paid off.

NAPIER BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and
the Local Bodies’ Finance Act, 1921–22, and of all other
powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Napier Borough
Council hereby resolves as follows :—

That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of
interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Napier
Borough Council Antecedent Liability Loan of £42,000, 1922,
authorized to be raised by the Council, under the above-
mentioned Act, for the purpose of repaying the Council’s
antecedent liability as defined by the Local Bodies’ Finance
Act, 1921–22, the said Council hereby makes and levies a
special rate of twenty-nine fiftieths (29/50) of a penny in the
pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the
unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of
Napier ; and that such special rate shall be an annually
recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be pay-
able on the first day of August in each year during the
currency of such loan, being a period of ten years, or until
the loan is fully paid off.

TE PUKE LAND DRAINAGE BOARD.

IN pursuance of and exercise of the powers vested in it
in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913,
the Te Puke Land Drainage Board hereby resolves as
follows :—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of three thousand pounds (£3,000), autho-
rized to be raised by the Te Puke Land Drainage Board,
under the above-mentioned Act, for making the following
works, viz.,—

Completing the Raparapahoe Drain, and widening and
straightening the existing drain ; removing willows on
drain above the Tauranga–Te Puke Road ; widening
the Kopuaroa Drain six (6) feet, and deepening it so
that the fall may be taken up to Luke’s property two (2)
feet at boundary ; and straightening the bends in
Osmond’s property ;

the said Te Puke Land Drainage Board hereby makes and
levies a special rate of twopence halfpenny (2½d.) in the
pound (£) over lands classed “A,” twopence (2d.) in the
pound (£) over lands classed “B,” and one penny half-
penny (1½d.) in the pound (£) over lands classed “C” upon
the rateable value of all rateable property in the Kopuaroa
Subdivision, which shall be a special rating area ; and that
such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during
the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the
1st day of August in each and every year during the currency
of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half (36½)
years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

WAITEMATA COUNTY COUNCIL.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR ROADS.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the
provisions of the Public Works Act, 1908, and amend-
ments thereto, by the Waitemata County Council, to execute
certain public works—viz., construction of roads through
and adjoining Sections 2 and 4 of Block 3, and Section 2 of
Block 6, Kumeu Survey District, shown on Survey Office
plan No. 20755 ; and for the purpose of such public works
the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be
taken.

And notice is further given that the plans of the said roads
and of the lands required to be taken are deposited for public
inspection at the office of the Waitemata County Council,
410, New Zealand Insurance Buildings, Queen Street, Auck-
land.

And notice is also hereby given that all persons affected by
the execution of such public works or by the taking of such
lands shall, if they have any well-grounded objection to the
execution of the said public works or to the taking of such
lands, set forth the same in writing, within forty (40) days
from the first publication of the notice, to the County Council’s
Office, Auckland.

LEVIN BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the
Levin Borough Council hereby resolves as follows :—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest, principal,
and other charges on a loan of £3,546, authorized to be raised
by the Levin Borough Council, under the above-mentioned
Act, for the purpose of paying off the antecedent liability
of the said Council as at 31st March, 1922, the said Levin
Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of
one halfpenny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the
basis of the capital value) of all rateable property of the
Borough of Levin, comprising the whole of the Borough of
Levin ; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring
rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly
on the first day of September in each and every year during
the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years, or until
the loan is fully paid off.

LEVIN BOROUGH COUNCIL.

SPECIAL ORDER AUTHORIZING THE RAISING OF A SPECIAL
LOAN.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by
section 6 of the Local Bodies’ Finance Act, 1921–22,
and section 16 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and all
other powers thereto enabling, the Levin Borough Council
hereby resolves by of special order as follows :—

  1. That a special loan of £3,546 be raised for the purpose
    of paying off the antecedent liability of the said Council
    as at 31st March, 1922.

  2. That in respect of such special loan nine (9) debentures
    of £354 and one debenture of £360 be issued, such debentures
    to bear interest at the rate of six pounds ten shillings
    (£6 10s.) per centum per annum (or such other rate of interest
    as may be approved by the Governor-General in Council
    in terms of the Finance Act, 1921).

  3. That the currency of the said special loan shall be ten (10)
    years.

  4. That one debenture be redeemed in each year during
    the currency of such special loan, the first debenture to be
