hundred and twenty-two, duly laid off as a road-line, in pursuance of sections forty-nine and fifty of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1913 :
And whereas the said Court is of the opinion that the said road-line should be proclaimed as a public road, and a notification to that effect has been forwarded to the Minister of Lands, in terms of section fifty-one of the said Act :
And whereas one month’s notice in writing of the intention to proclaim the said road-line as a public road has been given by the Surveyor-General to the local authority of the district concerned, in terms of section fifteen of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1914 :
And whereas it is now expedient that the said road-line should be proclaimed as a public road :
Now, therefore, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by sections forty-nine and fifty of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1913, and in so far as each of these sections is applicable, do hereby proclaim as a public road the road-line described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land proclaimed as a road: 6 acres 1 rood 37 perches.
Portion of Rangitaiki Lot 30A No. 2 Block, situated in Blocks I and IV, Whakatane Survey District.
In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 16/539, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Land and Survey, at Wellington, under No. 1975, and thereon coloured red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand; and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this 23rd day of August, 1922.

Revoking the Setting-apart of Land for Selection by Discharged Soldiers, under Special Tenures, in the Auckland Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby revoke the Proclamation made on the sixteenth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and twenty, and published in the Gazette of the twenty-second day of April then instant, setting apart Crown lands for selection by discharged soldiers, under the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, in so far as it relates to the land in the Schedule hereto.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the additional land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of the Kaihu Valley Railway and for a road-diversion in connection therewith.

Altering the Middle-line of a Portion of the Lawrence-Roxburgh Railway.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby revoke the Schedule to the Proclamation dated the seventh day of June, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-one, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 56, of the sixteenth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-one, defining the middle-line of a further portion of the Lawrence-Roxburgh Railway, between the points marked 35 miles 45 chains and 49 miles 60 chains, as shown on the plan numbered P.W.D. 51618, referred to in such Proclamation; and in lieu thereof do hereby proclaim and declare that the middle-line of the said portion of railway, commencing at the said point marked 35 miles 45 chains, shall be as defined and set forth in the Schedule hereto.

COMMENCING at a point on the Beaumont – Miller’s Flat Road, Block IV, Beaumont Survey District, marked 35 miles 45 chains, which point is also the termination of the railway described in Proclamation dated the 25th day of May, 1911, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 45, of the 1st day of June, 1911, and proceeding thence generally in a north-westerly direction for a distance of 14 miles 30 chains, and passing in, into, through, or over the following lands, &c.—viz., Run 657, Sections 8 and 9, Run 658, Block VII, Beaumont Survey District: Run 658, P.R. “B” 1, Block IX; mining reserve, Sections 18, 24, and 20, mining reserve, and Section 25, Block XII; Section 60, railway reserve, Sections 59, 58, 57, 38, 37, 36, 35, 34, and 64, mining reserve, Sections 118 and 117, and mining reserve, Block III, Benger Survey District: and terminating on the road reserve at a point marked 49 miles 75 chains: including all adjoining and intervening places, lands, reserves, roads, tracks, lakes, rivers, streams,
