COUNTY OF TARANAKI.

RESOLUTION LEVYING SPECIAL RATE.—CORBETT ROAD SPECIAL LOAN OF £1,000.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Taranaki County Council hereby resolves as follows :—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £1,000, authorized to be raised by the Taranaki County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of forming and metalling Corbett Road, the Taranaki County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of twopence in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Corbett Road Special Rating District, being Sections pt. 19, Block 2, and 6, Paritutu ; pt. 6A, 78A, 16, 18, 78, 80, 81B 1, pt. 82, 81A, 81B 3, pt. 2, 84, 87, pt. 88, pt. 90, 91, 81B 2, pt. 82, pt. 85, pt. 86, pt. 86, 92, Block 2, Paritutu. And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable on the first day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half (36½) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Taranaki County Council hereby resolves as follows :—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £400, authorized to be raised by the Taranaki County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of forming and metalling Tate Road, the Taranaki County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three-eighths of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Tate Road Special Rating District, being Sections pt. Lot 1 of 51, Lot 2 of 51, pt. Lot 1 of 51, Block 3, Paritutu ; pt. 50, Block 1, Paritutu ; pt. 1, pt. Lot 3 of 51, Block 3, Paritutu ; pt. 1, pt. 50, Block 1, Paritutu ; pt. Lot 3 of 51, 13, 17, 19, 5, 6, 10, 11, pt. 54, pt. 54, Block 3, Paritutu. And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable on the first day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half (36½) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

TAURANGA BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Tauranga Borough Council hereby resolves as follows :—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £200, authorized to be raised by the Tauranga Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for tar-sealing streets and asphalting footpaths, the said Tauranga Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one farthing upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Tauranga, comprising the whole of the Borough of Tauranga ; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and one-half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

WAIROA HARBOUR BOARD.

RESOLUTION STRIKING SPECIAL RATE OVER WAIROA HARBOUR RATING DISTRICT AS SECURITY FOR LOAN.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and its amendments, the Wairoa Harbour Board Empowering and Loan Act, 1919, the Reserves and other Lands Disposal and Public Bodies Empowering Act, 1920, the Finance Act, 1921, and the Reserves and other Lands Disposal and Public Bodies Empowering Act, 1921–22, and all other powers it in anywise hereto enabling, the Wairoa Harbour Board hereby resolves as follows :—

That, for the purpose of providing interest, instalments of principal, and charges in respect of the loan of £5,000 which the Board has this day resolved to raise from the State Advances Superintendent as part of the sum of £10,000 which the Board is empowered to borrow under section 37 of the Reserves and other Lands Disposal and Public Bodies Empowering Act, 1921–22, for the purpose of carrying on harbour-construction at Waikokopu, the said Wairoa Harbour Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of five thirty-second parts of a penny in the pound upon the capital rateable value of all rateable property in the Wairoa Harbour Rating District (being the district constituted by the Wairoa Harbour Board Empowering and Loan Act, 1898, as redefined by the Wairoa Harbour Board Empowering and Loan Act, 1909, and as amended by the Wairoa Harbour Board Empowering and Loan Act, 1919) ; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the said loan, and be payable annually in one sum on the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off, and to be payable for the first time on the 1st day of October, 1922.

DUNEDIN CITY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING AND LEVYING A SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Finance Act, 1921–22, and the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Dunedin City Council hereby resolves as follows :—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £297,000, authorized to be raised by the Dunedin City Council, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, for the purpose of paying off to that extent the said Council’s antecedent liability, the said Dunedin City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 6½d. in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property of the City of Dunedin, comprising the whole of the City of Dunedin ; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the first day of March and the first day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twelve years from the first day of September, 1922, or until the loan is fully paid off.

STRATFORD BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and the Local Bodies’ Finance Act, 1921–22, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Stratford Borough Council hereby resolves as follows :—

That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Stratford Borough Council Antecedent Liability Loan of £8,750, 1922, authorized to be raised by the Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of repaying the Council’s antecedent liability as defined by the Local Bodies’ Finance Act, 1921–22, the said Stratford Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of eight-ninths of a penny (8/9d.) in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Stratford ; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of September in each year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
