Amending Regulations under the Dairy Industry Act, 1908, prescribing Fees for the Grading of Dairy Produce.—Notice No. 2197.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 21st day of August, 1922.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the Dairy Industry Act, 1908, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby amend the regulations under the said Act made by Order in Council on the first day of February, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-one, and gazetted on the third day of February, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-one, by altering the fee prescribed for the grading of butter from one penny to 1·05 pence per box, and for cheese from one and a third pence to 1·40 pence per crate; and doth hereby declare that this Order in Council shall come into force and take effect on the first day of September, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-two.

Applying Section 144 of the Patents, Designs, and Trade-marks Act, 1921–1922, to British India.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 14th day of August, 1922.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by subsection five of section one hundred and forty-four of the Patents, Designs, and Trade-marks Act, 1921–1922, it is provided that where it is made to appear to the Governor-General that satisfactory provision has been made as between New Zealand and any foreign State or British possession for the mutual protection of inventions, designs, or trade-marks the Governor-General may by Order in Council declare that that section shall apply to that foreign State or British possession as from a date to be specified in the Order in Council, subject, however, to such restrictions or limitations (if any) as the Governor-General thinks fit:
And whereas it has been made to appear to the Governor-General that satisfactory provision has been made as between New Zealand and British India for the mutual protection of inventions and designs:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him as aforesaid, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that section one hundred and forty-four of the Patents, Designs, and Trade-marks Act, 1921–1922, shall, so far as it relates to patents and designs, apply to British India as from the fifth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-two.

Declaring Portion of Kota Road, in the Stratford County, to be a County Road.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 21st day of August, 1922.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become a county road.

SCHEDULE.
ALL that portion of road in the Kota Settlement, Taranaki Land District, Stratford County, known as Kota Road, commencing at its junction with Makuri Road, and proceeding thence generally in a northerly direction, adjoining or passing through Sections 1s, 2s, 3s, and 5s, Block XII, Huiroa Survey District, and terminating at a point about 33 chains north of the south-western corner of Section 4s, Block XII, Huiroa Survey District; being a distance of 1 mile 60 chains, more or less. As the said portion of road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 55083, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.

Extension of Copyright Act, 1913, to certain Works first published in Brazil.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 14th day of August, 1922.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by an Order in Council dated the twenty-seventh day of March, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen, and gazetted on the first day of April then instant (hereinafter referred to as “the said Order”), the Copyright Act, 1913, was extended to the foreign countries therein mentioned, subject to the provisions set out in the said Order: And whereas it is desired to extend the said Order to Brazil:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by the Copyright Act, 1913, doth hereby extend the said Order to Brazil as if that country were amongst the foreign countries of the Copyright Union named in paragraph (1) of the said Order, subject to the following modifications:—
(1.) The provisions of paragraph (2), proviso (iii) (a), of the said Order shall apply as if Brazil were included amongst the foreign countries named in those provisions.
(2.) In the application of the provisions of paragraph (3) of the said Order to works of which the country of origin is Brazil the commencement of this Order shall be substituted for the commencement of the said Act and for the commencement of the said Order.
(3.) In the application to such works of sections 3 (2) (d) and 25 of the Copyright Act, 1913, the commencement of this Order shall be substituted for the commencement of the said Act in section 25 (7) and 25 (8) wherever that expression occurs.
(4.) In the application to such works of section 32 of the Copyright Act, 1913, the commencement of this Order shall be substituted for the commencement of the said Act wherever that expression occurs in subsection (1) (a) and for the first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen, in subsection (1) (b).
This Order shall come into operation on the first day of September, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-two, which date is in this Order referred to as the commencement of this Order.

Extension of Copyright Act, 1913, to Hungary.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 14th day of August, 1922.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by an Order in Council dated the twenty-seventh day of March, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen, and gazetted on the first day of April then instant (hereinafter referred to as “the said Order”), the Copyright Act, 1913, was extended to the foreign countries therein mentioned subject to the provisions set out in the said Order:
And whereas by reason of the late war with Austria-Hungary the said Order ceased to have effect so far as regards the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy, and it is now desired to extend the said Order to Hungary:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and
