Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand ; and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, at the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 22nd day of August, 1922.

Altering Boundaries of Mangawara Drainage District, County of Waikato.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 21st day of August, 1922.
Present :
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the Mangawara Drainage Board, being of the opinion that certain lands situated in the County of Waikato, and not included in the Mangawara Drainage District (hereinafter referred to as “the said district”), are deriving benefit from the drainage-works carried out by the said Board, did, in accordance with the provisions of section six of the Land Drainage Amendment Act, 1913 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), present a petition to His Excellency the Governor-General praying that the boundaries of the said district might be altered so as to include such lands in the said district :
And whereas in respect thereof a Commission has been appointed to inquire and report as to the several matters mentioned in subsection three of section six of the said Act :
And whereas the Commission so appointed has reported that part of such lands should be included in the said district :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in him by section six of the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that as on and from the date hereof the boundaries of the said district are hereby altered so as to include in the said district the lands described in the First Schedule hereto, and that the boundaries of the said district shall be those described in the Second Schedule hereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE.
AREA INCLUDED IN THE MANGAWARA DRAINAGE DISTRICT.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District bounded on the south, west, north, and north-east by the Mangawara Drainage District, and on the south-west by a public road fronting Sections 237, 238, 239, and 240, Taupiri Parish.
SECOND SCHEDULE.
MANGAWARA DRAINAGE DISTRICT.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District commencing at the Pukemore Trig. Station ; then by a right line to the eastern side of a road at the south-eastern corner of Section 390, Taupiri Parish ; then northerly along that road to the northern boundary of Section 463, Taupiri Parish ; then easterly along that boundary to a public road ; then northerly along the western side of that road to the south-western boundary of Section 348 ; then north-westerly along that boundary to a road junction in line with the easternmost corner of Section 349 ; then by a right line in a north-easterly direction from the aforementioned road junction to a road junction at the westernmost corner of Section 280 ; then north-westerly along the eastern side of a public road to the Waikare Lake ; then easterly and northerly by the shore of the lake to the south-western boundary of Section 443, Whangamarino Parish ; then south-easterly along the south-western boundaries of the aforementioned Section 443 and of Section 2 ; then easterly along the southern boundary of Section 2 to a public road, across that road, and then northerly along the eastern side of that road to the southern side of the road forming the northern boundaries of Sections 4, 8, and 9 to a public road, across that road, and south-easterly along the north-eastern boundary of Section 17 to a public road, across that road, and then northerly and thence south-easterly along that road to the Mangapiko Valley Road ; then along the western side of that road fronting Section 254 and intersecting Sections 222 and 225 to the road junction fronting Section 197, Taupiri Parish ; then generally easterly along the southern side of that road to the most westerly point of Section 331 ; then southerly along the western boundary of Section 331 to the southern boundary of the said Section 331 ; then north-easterly along the southern boundary of Section 331 to the western boundary of Section 342 ; then southerly along the western boundary of Section 342 to a public road ; then by the southern and western side of that road to the Mangawara Stream ; then by Mangawara Stream to a public road fronting Section 151 ; then northerly along the eastern side of that road to a road forming the southern boundary of Section 184 ; then westerly along the northern side of that road to the western boundary of Section 196 ; then southerly along the western boundary of Section 196 to the south-western corner of Section 196 ; then by a right line to Pukemore Trig., the place of commencement.

WHEREAS, in accordance with the provisions of section three of the Land Drainage Act, 1908, a petition has been presented to His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, by a majority of the ratepayers in the area referred to in the said petition situated in the County of Waikato, praying that the land comprised in the said area be excluded from the Mangawara Drainage District as constituted under the provisions of the said Act :
And whereas a Commission appointed to inquire into the proposed exclusion of the said area from the Mangawara Drainage District held inquiries, and recommended certain alterations of the said area :
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority contained in section three of the Land Drainage Act, 1908, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby alter the boundaries of the said Mangawara Drainage District by excluding from such district the area of land described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
AREA EXCLUDED FROM MANGAWARA DRAINAGE DISTRICT.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District commencing at the Maungakawa Trig. Station in Block XVI, Piako Survey District ; then in a south-westerly direction along the south-eastern boundaries of Section 456, 457, 458, 459, 460, and 461, Block III, Hapuakohe Survey District ; then along the eastern boundary of Section 495, Block III aforesaid, to the Mangapiko Valley Road ; then generally in a south-easterly direction along the northern side of that road to a road forming the southern boundary of Section 29, Block VI, Hapuakohe Survey District ; then westerly along that road to a road forming the eastern boundary of Section 16, Blocks V and VI, Hapuakohe Survey District, across that road, and then southerly along its western side to the south-western boundary of Section 16 aforesaid ; then north-westerly along the south-western boundaries of Sections 16 and 15 to a public road, across that road, and along its southern side to a public road forming part of the southern boundary of S.G.R. No. 18, Blocks I, II, and V, Hapuakohe Survey District ; then easterly along that road and northerly along the eastern boundary of S.G.R. No. 18 to its junction with the northern boundary of Lot 5, deposited plan 2504A ; then north-easterly along the northern boundary to a public road, across that road, then southerly along the eastern side of that road and the eastern boundary of Lot 6 to the northern boundary of Section 472, Block II, Hapuakohe Survey District ; then north-easterly along the north-western boundaries of Sections 472, 448, 449, 450, 451, 452, 453, and 454 ; then along the eastern boundaries of Sections 454, 455, and 456 to the Maungakawa Trig., the place of commencement.
