THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power
and authority conferred upon me by section twenty-five of
the Reserves and other Lands Disposal and Public Bodies
Empowering Act, 1911, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby
proclaim and declare the land enumerated in the Schedule
hereto to be subject to the provisions of section one hundred
and twenty-seven of the Land Act, 1908; and I do further
fix one year from the date mentioned in the said Schedule
as the period for which the said land shall be exempt from
payment of rent.

SCHEDULE.

HAWE'S BAY LAND DISTRICT.

SECTION 2, Block XI, Takapau Survey District : lst January,
1923.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand; and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, at the Government
House at Wellington, this 21st day of August, 1922.

Soldiers, under Ordinary Tenures, in the North Auckland
Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon me by section three of the Discharged
Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, I, John Rushworth, Viscount
Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand,
do hereby revoke the Proclamation made on the third day of
September, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen, and
published in the Gazette of the sixth day of September then
instant, setting apart Crown lands for selection by discharged
soldiers, under the Land Act, 1908, in so far as it relates to
the land in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.-CROWN LAND.

SECTIONS 31 and 32, Te Arai Parish, Rodney County : Area,
260 acres.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand; and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, at the Government
House at Wellington, this 18th day of August, 1922.

Proclaiming Native Land to be Crown Land under Section 14
of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1914.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section fourteen of the Native Land
Amendment Act, 1914, it is provided, inter alia,
that on being satisfied that the purchase of any Native land
has been duly completed by or on behalf of the Crown under
the authority of the Native Land Act, 1909, the Governor-
General may issue a Proclamation that such land has become
Crown land:

And whereas the purchase of the Native land set out in the
Schedule hereto has been duly completed by or on behalf of
the Crown under the authority of the Native Land Act, 1909:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power
and authority so conferred upon me by section fourteen of
the Native Land Amendment Act, 1914, I, John Rushworth,
Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, do hereby proclaim the land set out in the Schedule
hereto to be Crown land.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Hawke's Bay Land District, situated in
Block II, Waimarama Survey District, being part of Waima-

rama No. 3A 6B 6A Block, and containing by admeasurement
400 acres, more or less; commencing at peg No. Xl on the
eastern boundary of Waimarama No. 3A 6B 6B Block, and
bounded towards the north-east by a line bearing 98° 28' for
a distance of 7600 links, and passing through Trig. D to a
road reserve on the sea-coast 100 links wide; towards the
south-east generally by the said road reserve along the sea-
coast; towards the south-west by Waimarama No. 3A 6B 6B
Block, a distance of 9306-6 links; and towards the north-west
by the said Waimarama No. 3A 6B 6B Block, a distance of
1103.6 links : be all the aforesaid linkages a little more or
less.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand; and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, at the Government
House at Wellington, this 18th day of August, 1922.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of
every other power and authority in anyway enabling me in
this behalf, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby pro-
claim and declare that the land mentioned in the Schedule
hereto is hereby taken for a further portion of the North
Auckland Main Trunk Railway, portions of Mareretu and
Waikiekie Sections, and for road-diversions in connection
therewith.
