Additional Land at Darfield taken for the Purposes of the Hurunui-Waitaki Railway (Rolleston-Springfield Colliery Branch).

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of the Rolleston-Springfield Colliery Branch of the Hurunui-Waitaki Railway to take further land at Darfield, in addition to land previously acquired for the purposes of the said railway:

Now, therefore, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by sections twenty-nine and one hundred and eighty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anyway enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes above mentioned.

Land set apart for Selection.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section sixty-three of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1913, it is, amongst other things, enacted that in no case shall any moneys be expended under the provisions of the said section sixty-three in connection with any block of land, unless that block is set apart for selection under that section pursuant to Proclamation in that behalf:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of every power and authority enabling me in this behalf, and for the purposes of the aforesaid Act, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim the land described in the Schedule hereto as set apart for selection.

SCHEDULE.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.-ROTO-NGARO EXTENSION BLOCK.

Section 28, Block XI, Rangiriri Survey District: Area, 70 acres 1 rood 24 perches.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand ; and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this 15th day of August, 1922.

Land proclaimed as ceasing to be set apart as National-endowment Land.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section eleven of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1920, it is enacted that the Governor-General may, by Proclamation approved in Executive Council, declare that any national-endowment land disposed of under the Land Act, 1908, and held under lease or license by any person who is competent to acquire land under the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, shall cease to be national-endowment land:

And whereas it is deemed expedient that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto, which is so held on renewable lease under the Land Act, 1908, should cease to be national-endowment land:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities so conferred upon me by the aforesaid section eleven, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby proclaim and declare that from and after the date of the gazetting hereof the land described in the Schedule hereto, which was set apart as national-endowment land under the provisions of section two hundred and fifty-eight of the Land Act, 1908, shall cease to be national-endowment land.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.

ALLOTMENTS 2 and 5 of Section 1, Block V, Rangiriri Survey District: Area, 338 acres 1 rood 19 perches.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand ; and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this 21st day of August, 1922.

Crown Land set apart for Disposal by way of Sale or Lease to Discharged Soldiers, under Special Tenures, in the Auckland Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon me by section four of the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the area of Crown land described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby set apart and declared open for disposal by way of sale or lease to discharged soldiers, under special tenures, in the manner provided in the said Act.

SCHEDULE.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.

SECTION 3, Block I, Tuhua Survey District: Area, 77 acres 2 roods.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand ; and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this 18th day of August, 1922.

WHEREAS the Land Board of the Hawke's Bay Land District has recommended that the Crown tenant of the land enumerated in the Schedule hereto should be afforded relief, owing to exceptional circumstances over which he has no control preventing the profitable occupation of such land:
