above-mentioned Act, for land drainage, the said Upper Mangapiko Drainage Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of ⅔ths of 1d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Puahue Special Rating Area, comprising all that land commencing at the north-eastern corner of Section 6 of the Puahue Soldier Settlement at the confiscation boundary-line; thence in a south-westerly direction following the road boundaries of the said Section 6 and Sections 7, 11, 14, and 1L to where the road junctions; thence in a westerly direction along the southern boundaries of said Section 1L and Sections 1M and 1N of West Taupo County to the confiscation-line; thence south by the said line; thence west along the boundary-line of Section 179 and north generally by the eastern boundaries of Sections 172 and 169, Punui Parish, to the Redoubt Road; thence in a northerly direction by the said road; thence along the south-western boundary of Section 163; thence by the boundaries of part Sections 164 and 165 to the north-west corner of Section 166; thence south by the south-western boundary of said Section 166 to the confiscation-line; thence north following the said line to the north-east corner of Section 6, the commencing-point. And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

MANGONUI COUNTY COUNCIL.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND.

In the matter of the Counties Act, 1920, and the Public Works Act, 1908.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Mangonui County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work—namely, the construction of a road; and for the purposes of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken.

And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Clerk to the said Council situate at Kaitaia, and is open for inspection (without fee) by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such lands, who have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands, must state their objections in writing, and send the same, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the County Clerk at the Council Chambers at Kaitaia.

AT an extraordinary general meeting of the members of the above-named company duly convened and held at Wellington on the 10th day of July, 1922, the following extraordinary resolution was duly passed:—

“That, it having been proved to the satisfaction of the company that it cannot by reason of its liabilities continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up the same, the company be wound up voluntarily; and that FREDERICK HOWARD HAYWARD, Accountant, of Wellington, be appointed Liquidator for the purpose of such winding-up.”
