ROTORUA COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.—ANTECEDENT LIABILITY LOAN OF £2,800.
——
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Local Bodies’ Finance Act, 1921–22, and by all other Acts and powers in that behalf enabling, the Rotorua County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £2,800, authorized to be raised by the said Rotorua County Council, under the above-mentioned Acts, for the purpose of paying off the antecedent liability as defined by section 5 of the Local Bodies’ Finance Act, 1921–22, the said Rotorua County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-eighth of a penny (½d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the County of Rotorua; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

SUMNER BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
——
THE following resolution, passed by the Sumner Borough Council at its meeting held on Monday, 3rd July, 1922, is published for general information:—
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Finance Act, 1921–22, the Sumner Borough Council hereby resolves as follows,——
That, for the purpose of providing the annual instalment payable under section 6 of the above-mentioned Act in reduction of its antecedent liability, the said the Sumner Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one one-hundred-and-twenty-ninth (1/129th) of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (being unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Sumner; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate, and shall be payable on the 1st day of August in each year until the said antecedent liability is extinguished.

FRESHFIELD DRAINAGE BOARD.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Freshfield Drainage Board hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the instalment in respect of principal and interest and also the other charges on a loan of £400, authorized to be raised by the Freshfield Drainage Board, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for constructing drains and drainage-works in the Southern Districts Area, the said Freshfield Drainage Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of nine-eighths of a penny in the pound (9/8ths of 1d. in £1) upon the rateable value of all rateable property as set out in the Schedule hereunder; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, the currency of such loan being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

SCHEDULE.
All that area in the County of Waikato and Parish of Komakorau, being Section 12 of a block of land known as the Taupiri Block of the Freshfield Estate, as shown on a plan deposited in the Lands Transfer Office at Auckland as No. 5006A; Lot 5 of a subdivision of the said Freshfield Estate, as shown on a plan deposited as aforesaid as No. 7136; and Section 132 of the Parish of Komakorau.

WAIMEA COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
——
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Waimea County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Waimea County Council Antecedent Liability Loan of £11,300 (1922), authorized to be raised by the Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of repaying the Council’s antecedent liability as defined by the Local Bodies’ Finance Act, 1921–22, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-twelfth of a penny (1/12 of 1d.) in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the whole of the County of Waimea; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
