exclusively in the Chief Judge or vested in a Judge as a member
of Appellate Court), and particularly the following, that is
to say:

  1. All the powers of a Judge under part one, parts four to ten
    inclusive, part thirteen, part seventeen, part eighteen, part
    twenty-one, and part twenty-four of the Native Land Act,

  2. All the powers of a Judge under any amendment of the
    said Act or under any other statute conferring jurisdiction
    or powers upon the Native Land Court or a Judge thereof.

  3. The powers of the Judge of any district to which he
    may be appointed as Commissioner.

Consenting to the Raising of a Loan by the Hawke's Bay Rivers
Board for the Purpose of discharging Existing Liabilities for
the Acquisition of Land.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 10th day of
July, 1922.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS application has been made under section
thirty-nine of the Finance Act, 1921-22, for the
consent of the Governor-General in Council to enable the
local authority mentioned in the Schedule hereto to borrow
the sum of money set out therein for the purpose named:
And whereas it is expedient that such consent should be
given:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
doth hereby consent to the borrowing of the said sum of
money by the said local authority mentioned in the Schedule
hereto.

And it is hereby declared that this Order in Council is
made under the provisions in that behalf of section thirty-
nine of the Finance Act, 1921-22, and shall operate accord-
ingly as a consent of the Governor-General in Council to the
borrowing of the said sum of money by the said local autho-
rity in the manner provided by the Local Bodies' Loans
Act, 1913, without taking the steps defined in sections eight
to twelve of that Act.

twenty, subsection one, of the Finance Act, 1919,
for the precedent consent of the Governor-General in Council
to enable the several local authorities mentioned in the
Schedule hereto to borrow the sums set out therein, and it is
expedient that such consent should issue:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
doth hereby consent to the raising of the loans hereinafter
mentioned by the several local authorities set out in the
Schedule hereto, and it is hereby declared that this Order in
Council is made under the provisions in that behalf of the
Finance Act, 1919, and shall operate accordingly as a con-
