THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.

by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
of the said Dominion, doth hereby authorize the Springs-
Ellesmere Electric-power Board to erect electric lines,
transformers, and substations for the transmission and
distribution of electrical energy in the Springs-Ellesmere
Electric-power District as defined by Proclamation dated
the first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty,
and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 65, of the
eighth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty,
and generally to perform the functions of an Electric-power
Board constituted in accordance with the provisions of the
Electric-power Boards Act, 1918, and its amendments, subject
to the following conditions.

CONDITIONS.

No electric lines shall be used for the distribution of
electrical energy until the Springs-Ellesmere Electric-power
Board has obtained a license for such purpose in accordance
with the provisions of section 2 of the Public Works Amend-
ment Act, 1911. -
Any conditions inserted in such license shall be strictly
complied with by such Board. -
Such Board shall, before the works authorized are com-
menced, forward for the approval of the Minister of Public
Works—(a.) Plans in triplicate, showing the routes of the electric
lines proposed to be erected and particulars of
insulation and voltage;(b.) Such further' plans and particulars as the Minister of
Public Works may from time to time require. -
The Board shall not, without the consent in writing of
the Minister of Public Works, erect any electric lines along
the routes of the Government main trunk transmission-lines.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 3rd day of
July, 1922.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS, in pursuance of section one hundred and
thirty-two of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920,
a petition was presented to the Governor-General, praying
that part of the Borough of Marton should be excluded from
the said borough and included in the County of Rangitikei:
And whereas a notice showing the proposed alteration in
boundaries of the said borough has been gazetted and pub-
licly notified, and no objections in writing against such
alteration have been lodged:
And whereas it is expedient that the said area should be
excluded from the Borough of Marton:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers
and authorities vested in him by the Municipal Corporations
Act, 1920, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Do-
minion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth
hereby declare that as on and from the first day of April,
one thousand nine hundred and twenty-three, the area de-
scribed in the Schedule hereto shall be excluded from the
Borough of Marton.

SCHEDULE.
AREA EXCLUDED FROM THE BOROUGH OF MARTON.
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, containing
429 acres, more or less, being parts of Sections 19 and 26,
Rangitikei Agricultural Reserve, situated in Block II, Rangi-
toto Survey District, and bounded as follows: Commencing
at the junction of the south-eastern corner of Block LXXX,
Rangitikei District, with the southern side of Bond Street
extension, as shown on plan 1906, deposited in the office of
the District Land Registrar at Wellington, and proceeding
in a south-westerly direction for a distance of 3137 links;
thence towards the north-west for a distance of 353·3 links;
thence towards the south-west for a distance of 283 links to
the northern side of the Bonny Glen—Wanganui Road;
again towards the north-west by the said road for a distance
of 486·7 links; thence towards the south-west across the
aforesaid road for a distance of 1157 links; thence towards
the south-east for a distance of 1120 links, and again towards
the south-west for a distance of 6698 links to the northern
side of Henderson’s Line; thence towards the north-west,
north-east, and south-east by the southern, western, and
part of the northern boundaries of the Borough of Marton,
as described in New Zealand Gazette No. 12, of the 10th day
of February, 1921, page 427, to the place of commencement.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon
him by the Public Works Act, 1908, His Excellency
the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the land de-
scribed in the Schedule hereto being taken for the purposes
of widening Adams and Taft Streets and for the construction
of a new street, portions of such land being occupied by
buildings and gardens.
