That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £50,000, authorized to be raised by the One Tree Hill Road Board, under the above-mentioned Act, for—
(a.) Constructing in concrete or other suitable material all that portion of the carriage-way on Manukau Road under the control of the One Tree Hill Road Board from Market Road to that point opposite the Auckland City Tramways Repairing Workshops, a distance of about 90 chains;
(b.) Kerbing and constructing footpaths in Manukau Road adjacent to the section laid down in concrete or other suitable material;
(c.) Taking up and relaying water-pipes in Manukau Road;
(d.) Constructing in concrete or other suitable material all that portion of the carriage-way on the Great South Road under the control of the One Tree Hill Road Board from Heald Road to Campbell Road, a distance of about 75 chains;
(e.) Kerbing and constructing footpaths on the Great South Road adjacent to the section laid down in concrete or other suitable material;
(f.) Taking up and relaying water-pipes in Great South Road;
the said One Tree Hill Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of five-eighths of a penny in the pound upon the capital value of all rateable property of the One Tree Hill Road District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

NELSON CITY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Nelson City Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Nelson City Council Water Reticulation Loan of £20,000, authorized to be raised by the said Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of improved water reticulation, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of twopence three-farthings (2¾d.) in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property in the whole of the City of Nelson; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and on the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and one-half (36½) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

PAHIATUA BOROUGH COUNCIL.
SPECIAL ORDER RAISING SPECIAL LOAN.
NOTICE is hereby given that at a special meeting of the Pahiatua Borough Council held on the 13th day of February, 1922, the following resolution was passed:—
Whereas the Pahiatua Borough Council in the year 1906 raised a special loan of £3,650 for the purpose of completing the borough water-supply and drainage-works, and for land claims and compensation in connection therewith, and for improvements of streets and footpaths: And whereas the said special loan was due and payable on the first day of April, 1920: And whereas the sum of £1,500 has been paid off the said special loan: And whereas it is necessary to raise the sum of £2,150 for the purpose of paying off the balance of the said special loan:
Now, therefore, the Pahiatua Borough Council, in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, hereby resolves by way of special order,—

To raise a special loan of £2,150 for the purpose of paying off the balance of the said special loan of £3,650;
-
That the currency of the said special loan of £2,150 be ten years from the first day of April, 1922;
-
That the interest on the said special loan shall be at the rate of £5 10s. per centum per annum, and payable half-yearly;
-
That the security for the interest, sinking fund, and repayment of the said special loan of £2,150 be a special annual-recurring rate of three-fourths of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all the rateable property of the Borough of Pahiatua, comprising the whole of the Borough of Pahiatua;

That a sinking fund of £100 per annum be established in connection with the said special loan, and that the amount of such sinking fund be paid to the Sinking Fund Commissioners to be appointed for that purpose on the first day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years from the first day of April, 1922, or until the loan is fully paid off;

That the said special loan of £2,150 be raised by the issue of a debenture or debentures in conformity with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913; and, further, that this resolution was confirmed as a special order at an ordinary meeting of the said Council held at the Borough Council Chambers, Main Street, Pahiatua, on Monday, the 13th day of March, 1922.

TE PUKE LAND DRAINAGE BOARD.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of eighty-five pounds (£85), authorized to be raised by the Te Puke Land Drainage Board, under the above-mentioned Act (section 18), for widening and deepening the Raparapahoe Stream from the Kaituna River to the railway-line, the said Te Puke Land Drainage Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-sixth of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the special rating area, comprising all the land bounded on the north by Section 1, Block IV, Te Tumu Survey District; on the east by the Kaituna River; on the south by Lot 2 of Sections 36 and 37A of Block II, Maketu Survey District; and on the west by Sections 53, 54, and 57 of Block II aforesaid and the main Tauranga–Te Puke Road, the said special rating area comprising Lot 3 of Section 36 aforesaid and Section 37, Block II, Maketu Survey District, and Section 2, Block IV, Tumu Survey District; and that such special rate shall be payable yearly on the 6th day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half (36½) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of the shareholders of the above-named company held at Wellington on the 17th day of May, 1922, it was resolved, “That it is proved to its and their satisfaction that the said company cannot by reason of its liabilities continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up the same, and accordingly that the said company be wound up voluntarily; and that JOSEPH HENRY GRIFFITHS ROWLEY and WILLIAM ERNEST ALBERT GILL, of Wellington, Accountants, be and they are hereby appointed Liquidators for the purposes of such winding-up.”
