Notice published pursuant to the Provisions of Section 15 of the Public Trust Office Act, 1908, and Sections 18 and 19 of the Public Trust Office Amendment Act, 1913.
NOTICE is hereby given that, no person having taken out administration, the Public Trustee has filed in the Supreme Court at Wellington an election to administer the several estates of the persons deceased whose names, residences, and occupations (so far as known) are hereunder respectively set forth, their gross properties being estimated not to exceed £400 in each case.

Constituting the Town District of Leeston, Ellesmere County.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS it is enacted by the Town Boards Act, 1908, that the Governor-General may declare that any locality outside a borough wherein there are not less than fifty householders shall be a town district:
And whereas a petition has been presented to the Governor-General by the inhabitants within the area mentioned and described in the said petition, praying that such area may be constituted a town district under the Town Boards Act, 1908:
And whereas a Commission appointed in pursuance of section two of the Town Boards Amendment Act, 1912, held an inquiry, and reported that the locality defined in the said petition was suitable for municipal control, and made certain alterations of the boundaries thereof:
Now, therefore, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by the Town Boards Act, 1908, and of all other powers enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that as on and from the first day of June, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-two, the area described in the Schedule hereto, being the locality defined in the said petition, with boundaries as altered by the said Commission, shall be a town district, and the same is hereby constituted a town district under the Town Boards Act, 1908, by the name of the Leeston Town District. And, in further pursuance and exercise of the said powers, I do hereby proclaim, declare, and appoint that the Board of Commissioners for the said district shall consist of seven members.
SCHEDULE.
LEESTON TOWN DISTRICT.
ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, situated in Blocks I and II, Southbridge, and XIII and XIV, Leeston Survey Districts, commencing at a point on Fereday’s Road, being the south-west corner of Section 4, Leeston Settlement; thence northerly along the boundary of the said Section 4 for 600 links; thence north-easterly parallel to Fereday’s Road to the eastern boundary of Section 3 of the said settlement; thence northerly, easterly, and again northerly along the boundary of the said Section 3 to the Leeston-Killinchy Road; thence across that road and along the north side thereof, the east side of Market Street, and the north side of Pound Street to Section 6073; thence north-westerly along the boundary of that section for 775 links; thence north-easterly across that section and the road abutting thereon to a point distant 2300 links from Fereday’s Road; thence north-westerly along that road for 100 links; thence north-easterly across Section 7771 to a point in line with the south-west boundary of Reserve 304; thence south-easterly to and along the south-western boundary of the said reserve to and across the Southbridge Branch Railway Reserve; thence along the south-eastern side of that reserve to Section 5787; thence south-easterly along the boundary of that section for 710 links; thence south-westerly parallel to the aforesaid railway reserve to the northernmost corner of Lot 8 on plan No. 1345 deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar; thence south-easterly along the boundaries of the said Lot 8 and Lots 2, 3, and 4 on plan No. 1862 deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar; thence south-westerly along the boundary of the said Lot 4 and its continuation to a point 1250 links from Lake Road; thence north-westerly by a line parallel to that road to the south-eastern boundary of the land in plan No. 175 deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar; thence south-westerly along this boundary and a line in continuation thereof to a point 500 links from the southernmost corner of the land in the said plan 175; thence north-westerly along a line parallel to the south-western boundaries of Sections 81 and 80 on the said plan 175, and of Sections 37, 36, 30, 21, and 11 on plan No. 101 deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar to Fereday’s Road; thence across that road to the point of commencement.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand; and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this 24th day of May, 1922.

Notice setting apart Crown Land within the Westland Mining District as a Public Reserve for Use as a Site for a Police-station.
JELLICOE, Governor-General.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on me by section twenty-one of the Mining Act, 1908, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby set apart as a public reserve for the purposes of a police-station the land described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area of land, containing by admeasurement 38 perches, being Sections 174, 175, and 176 in the Township of Ross. As the same is delineated on the map of that township in the District Survey Office at Hokitika.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 18th day of May, 1922.
