FIRST SCHEDULE.
All that area commencing at the Rotorua–Te Teko Road at Ngapuna; thence by that main road to the Tarawera Bridge on the Rotorua–Te Teko Road; thence by the Tarawera River to its outlet from Lake Tarawera; thence by the northerly and westerly shore of that lake to the intersection with G. Wood’s run, No. 79 (a sanctuary), by the boundary of that sanctuary to its junction with the Waimangu–Rotorua Road; thence by that road to the place of commencement at Ngapuna: excepting therefrom an area of one mile around the shore of Lake Okataina, which is a sanctuary for all native and imported game.

, of , having this day paid the sum of £ , is hereby authorized to take or kill two red-deer stags, of not less than ten points, within that part of the Rotorua Acclimatization District as described in the endorsement hereon from the day of , 1922, to the 27th day of April, 1922 (both days inclusive), subject to the provisions of the Animals Protection Act, 1908, and all regulations thereunder in force within the said district.

Regulations for Deer-shooting, Mahia Peninsula.
JELLICOE, Governor-General.
IN exercise of the powers vested in me by the Animals Protection Act, 1908 (hereinafter called “the said Act”), I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby make the following regulations prescribing the deer-shooting season in that part of the Rotorua Acclimatization District comprised in the Mahia Peninsula which is in the said acclimatization district, and the conditions affecting the same, and also the form of license and the fee payable therefor.
REGULATIONS.

RED-DEER stags may be taken or killed within the above-mentioned part of the Rotorua Acclimatization District from the 27th March, 1922, to the 27th April, 1922 (both days inclusive).

Licenses to take or kill such deer may be issued by the Postmaster at Opoutama, on payment of a license fee of £3, in the form prescribed in the Schedule hereto, and subject to the said Act and these regulations; provided that not more than one such license shall be issued to the same person.

No licensee shall take or kill more than two stags, and no stag shall be killed carrying antlers with less than ten points.

Each licensee must give notice to the said Postmaster of the date on which it is his intention to stalk; such notice to be given, in writing or by telegraph, two clear days before commencing to stalk.

No hind or fawn shall be taken or killed on any pretext whatever; and no licensee shall allow any dog to accompany either himself or any attendant he may have with him.

Nothing herein contained shall extend to authorizing any person to sell any deer or portion thereof.

Regulations as to deer “tags,” per New Zealand Gazette No. 40, Vol. I, of 20th May, 1909, page 1408, shall be strictly adhered to by each licensee, who, in addition thereto, shall return all unused “tags” to the Postmaster at Opoutama immediately he has finished stalking for the season for which such “tags” have been issued, together with the number of deer shot.

Any person committing a breach of any of these regulations shall be liable, on conviction, to a fine not less than £5 nor exceeding £20.

IN exercise of the powers vested in me by the Animals Protection Act, 1908 (hereinafter called “the said Act”), I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby make the following regulations prescribing the deer-shooting season in that part of the Rotorua Acclimatization District, being the land situated within an area or radius of ten miles from the shores of Lake Waikaremoana, which is in the said acclimatization district, and the conditions affecting the same, and also the form of license and the fee payable therefor.
