SCHEDULE.
OTAGO ACCLIMATIZATION DISTRICT.
ALL that area in the Otago and Southland Districts comprising the counties of Vincent, Maniototo, Waihemo, Waikouaiti, Taieri, Peninsula, Tuapeka, Bruce, Clutha, and part of the County of Southland, bounded on the east and south by the ocean from Shag Point to the mouth of the Mataura River, on the west by the Mataura River and the County of Lake, on the north-west by the County of Westland, and on the north-east by the County of Waitaki; including the City of Dunedin and the boroughs within the above-described area.

Open Season for the Taking or Killing of Opossums in the Southland Acclimatization District.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 8th day of May, 1922.

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE W. F. MASSEY, P.C., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the Animals Protection and Game Act, 1921-22, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that opossums of the species Trichosurus vulpecula or of the subspecies Trichosurus fuliginosus may be taken or killed within the Southland Acclimatization District described in the Schedule hereto, except in any sanctuary or public domain, from the first day of August, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-two, to the thirty-first day of August, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-two, both days inclusive, subject to the general regulations made by Order in Council dated the eighth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-two.
And I do further notify that licenses to take or kill opossums within the said district shall be issued to any person on payment of the sum of two pounds ten shillings each; and the Chief Postmaster at Invercargill, and the Postmasters at Awarua Plains, Balfour, Dipton, Gore, Lumsden, Mataura, Nightcaps, Orawia, Otautau, Riversdale, Riverton, Wairio, Winton, and Woodlands, are hereby appointed to sign and issue such licenses to take or kill opossums.

ALL that area comprising so much of the County of Southland as lies to the westward of the Mataura River, together with the counties of Fiord, Wallace, and Stewart Island.

Abolishing an Office from the Administrative Division of the Public Service.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 1st day of May, 1922.

WHEREAS by section eighteen, subsection two, of the Public Service Act, 1912, it is enacted that the Commissioner may, whenever it appears advantageous to the Public Service so to do, certify to the Governor-General that it is expedient to add any office to or to abolish any office in the Administrative Division; and the Governor-General in Council may, upon such certificate, add any office to the Administrative Division or abolish any office therein:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby abolish the office of Deputy Superintendent, State Advances Department, from the said Administrative Division.

Notice prohibiting the Sale in the City of Wellington of certain Goods comprised in the Trade of a Fishmonger, under the Shops and Offices Act, 1921-22.
WHEREAS a petition in writing, signed by a majority of the occupiers of all the fishmongers’ shops within the City of Wellington, has been forwarded to me, desiring that the sale of certain goods comprised in the trade of a fishmonger—namely, fresh fish, smoked fish, and shell fish—be prohibited during such times as the said shops are required to be closed in pursuance of the Shops and Offices Act, 1921-22:
And whereas I, George James Anderson, Minister of Labour, am satisfied that the sale of the said goods is comprised in the trade of a fishmonger in the said district, and that the signatures to such petition represent a majority of the occupiers of all the said shops in the said district:
Now, therefore, in pursuance of section 33 of the said Act, I do hereby direct that on and after the 18th day of May, 1922, the sale of the said goods in the City of Wellington shall be and is hereby prohibited as follows: On Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays after the hour of 6 p.m., with the following exception—on the working-day immediately preceding Good Friday, after the hour of 10 p.m.

Notice prohibiting the Sale in the City of Dunedin of certain Goods comprised in the Trade of a Tobacconist, under the Shops and Offices Act, 1921-22.
WHEREAS a petition in writing, signed by a majority of the occupiers of all the tobacconists’ shops within the City of Dunedin, has been forwarded to me, desiring that the sale of certain goods comprised in the trade of a tobacconist—namely, tobacco, cigars, cigarettes, cigarette papers and holders, tobacco-pouches, smoking-pipes, walking-sticks, and smokers’ requisites—be prohibited during such times as the said shops are required to be closed in pursuance of the Shops and Offices Act, 1921-22:
And whereas, I, George James Anderson, Minister of Labour, am satisfied that the sale of the said goods is comprised in the trade of a tobacconist in the said district, and that the signatures to such petition represent a majority of the occupiers of all the said shops in the said district:
Now, therefore, in pursuance of section 33 of the said Act, I do hereby direct that on and after the 18th day of May, 1922, the sale of the said goods in the City of Dunedin shall be and is hereby prohibited as follows: On Mondays and Tuesdays after the hour of 7 p.m., on Wednesdays and Thursdays after the hour of 9 p.m., with the following exceptions—(1) on the working-day immediately preceding and the day of any race meeting held at Wingatui or Forbury Park, after the hour of 9 p.m.; (2) on the working-day immediately preceding any day generally observed in the City of Dunedin as a public holiday, after the hour of 11 p.m.; (3) on the working-days in the week commencing on the Monday immediately preceding Christmas Day, on the working-days in the week commencing on the Monday immediately preceding New Year’s Day, and on the working-days in the week in which the Midwinter Show is held, the sale of the said goods is not prohibited.
