Results of Polls for Proposed Loans.

THE following notices, received from the Chairman of
the Council of the County of Tauranga, are published
in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies' Loans
Act, 1913.

TAURANGA COUNTY COUNCIL.
Result of Polls on Proposals to raise Loans.
PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913,
we hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the
Greerton Special Rating Area taken on the 22nd day of April,
1922, on the proposal of the Tauranga County Council to
borrow the sum of £600 for the purpose of widening, grading,
and metalling main roads in the Greerton Special Rating
Area, County of Tauranga, the number of votes recorded
for the proposal was 23, and the number of votes recorded
against the proposal was 10.
We therefore declare that the proposal was carried.
PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913,
we hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the
Greerton Special Rating Area taken on the 22nd day of April,
1922, on the proposal of the Tauranga County Council to
borrow the sum of £5,400 for the purpose of grading, widening,
forming, metalling, and providing culverts on all unmetalled
portions of main roads within the boundaries of the Greerton
Special Rating Area, County of Tauranga, the number of
votes recorded for the proposal was 21, and the number of
votes recorded against the proposal was 10; informal, 2.
We therefore declare that the proposal was carried.
PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913,
we hereby give notice that at a poll of ratepayers of the
Waimapu Special Rating Area taken on the 22nd day of
April, 1922, on the proposal of the Tauranga County Council
to borrow the sum of £900 for the purpose of widening
cuttings, improving grades, and metalling all unmetalled
portions of the main Tauranga-Waihi Road between Wairoa
Bridge and Judea Bridge in the Waimapu Special Rating
Area, County of Tauranga, the number of votes recorded
for the proposal was 44, and the number of votes recorded
against the proposal was 7.
We therefore declare that the proposal was carried.
PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913,
we hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the
Te Puna Riding taken on the 22nd day of April, 1922, on the
proposal of the Tauranga County Council to borrow the sum of
£3,500 for the purpose of grading, forming, and metalling the
main Tauranga-Waihi Road between Waipapa and Wairoa
Bridges (£2,500), and widening, grading, and metalling main
Tauranga-Cambridge Road between Ruahihi Bridge and the
Matamata County boundary (£1,000), the number of votes
recorded for the proposal was 24, and the number of votes
recorded against the proposal was 19.
We therefore declare that the proposal was not carried.
