Proclaiming Native Land to be Crown Land under Section 14 of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1914.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section fourteen of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1914, it is provided, inter alia, that on being satisfied that the purchase of any Native land has been duly completed by or on behalf of the Crown under the authority of the Native Land Act, 1909, the Governor-General may issue a Proclamation that such land has become Crown land:

And whereas the purchase of the Native land set out in the Schedule hereto has been duly completed by or on behalf of the Crown under the authority of the Native Land Act, 1909:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority so conferred upon me by section fourteen of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1914, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim the land set out in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land.

RAWHITIROA B No. 2B Block, Waihou Survey District: Approximate area, 3 acres 0 roods 17 perches.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand; and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this 6th day of May, 1922.

Allocating Cost of taking Poll under Section 131 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, Borough of Avondale.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 1st day of May, 1922.

Present:

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE W. F. MASSEY, P.C., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance of the powers vested in him by section one hundred and thirty-one of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, and of every other power and authority enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby direct that the Avondale Borough Council shall defray all the costs incurred in connection with the taking of a poll under the said Act on the fourth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-two, on the proposal to constitute the Borough of Avondale.

Consenting to the Raising of Loans by certain Local Authorities for the Purpose of discharging Existing Liabilities or the Acquisition of Land.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 1st day of May, 1922.

Present:

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE W. F. MASSEY, P.C., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS application has been made under section thirty-nine of the Finance Act, 1921–22, for the consent of the Governor-General in Council to enable the local authorities mentioned in the Schedule hereto to borrow the sums of money set out therein for the purposes named: And whereas it is expedient that such consent should be given:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the borrowing of the said sums of money by the said local authorities as set out in the Schedule hereto.

And it is hereby declared that this Order in Council is made under the provisions in that behalf of section thirty-nine of the Finance Act, 1921–22, and shall operate accord-

ingly as a consent of the Governor-General in Council to the borrowing of the said sums of money by the said local authorities, in the manner provided by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, without taking the steps defined in sections eight to twelve of that Act.

WHEREAS application has been made, under section twenty, subsection one, of the Finance Act, 1919, for the precedent consent of the Governor-General in Council to enable the several local authorities mentioned in the Schedule hereto to borrow the sums set out therein, and it is expedient that such consent should issue:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the raising of the loans hereinafter mentioned by the several local authorities set out in the Schedule hereto, and it is hereby declared that this Order in Council is made under the provisions in that behalf of the Finance Act, 1919, and shall operate accordingly as a consent of the Governor-General in Council to the raising of the loans hereby authorized.
