Nothing in any license to take or kill imported game and native game shall authorize the holder thereof to take or kill imported game and native game on lands actually and exclusively used by any registered acclimatization society for acclimatization purposes, or on any sanctuary or public domain.

Shooting Season for Imported Game and Native Game, License Fee, &c., North Canterbury Acclimatization District.
IN exercise of the powers vested in me by the Animals Protection and Game Act, 1921–22, I, William Downie Stewart, Minister of Internal Affairs of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify that the following imported game and native game—viz., Californian quail, grey duck, spoonbill duck (or shoveller), and black swan—may be taken or killed within the North Canterbury Acclimatization District, comprising all that area in the Nelson, Marlborough, and Canterbury Land Districts bounded by a line commencing at Whitcombe Pass and proceeding north-easterly along the summit of the Southern Alps and the Spenser Mountains to Mount Humboldt; thence along a right line to Barefell Pass, a right line to Palmer Saddle, and thence down the Conway River to its mouth; thence along the sea-coast to Rakaia River, and up that river to its source at Whitcombe Pass, the point of commencement; (except in the areas mentioned in the Schedule hereto) from the first day of May, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-two, to the thirty-first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-two (both days inclusive). And I do further notify that licenses to take or kill such imported game and native game within the said district will be issued to any person on payment of the sum of twenty shillings each; and the secretary of the said North Canterbury Acclimatization Society, or any person authorized by such secretary in that behalf, is hereby authorized to sign and issue the said licenses.
And I do further notify that licenses to take or kill grey duck, spoonbill duck (or shoveller), and black swan within the said district will be issued to any person by the said secretary, or any person authorized by such secretary in that behalf, on payment of the sum of 10s. each.
And I do hereby restrict the number of such grey duck, spoonbill duck (or shoveller), and black swan that may be taken or killed by any one person in any one day to not more than twenty-five head in all.
Nothing in any license to take or kill imported game and native game shall authorize the holder thereof to take or kill imported game and native game on lands actually and exclusively used by any registered acclimatization society for acclimatization purposes, or on any sanctuary or public domain, or any land mentioned in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
ADDITIONAL AREAS WHEREIN IMPORTED GAME AND NATIVE GAME MAY NOT BE TAKEN OR KILLED.

ALL that area in the County of Akaroa, situated in the Akaroa and Ellesmere Survey Districts, Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 1,540 acres, more or less, being the lake known as Lake Forsyth, including all roads fronting on the shores of the said lake; and all those reserves in the said county and survey districts numbered 3186; 3187, 3185, 2903, 250, 810, 890, and 157, including Maori reserve adjoining Lake Forsyth.

Glenmark Lagoon.

Cheviot Lagoon.

All that area containing 162 acres, more or less, being Section No. 7409, Block XII, Grey Survey District, the said section being the property of Frederick Busch, of Newlands, Amberley.

All that area within one mile on each side of the West Coast (Christchurch–Hokitika) Road from Springfield to Dillmanstown.

IN exercise of the powers vested in me by the Animals Protection and Game Act, 1921–22, I, William Downie Stewart, Minister of Internal Affairs of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify that the following imported game and native game—viz., Californian quail, Australian quail, cock pheasants, grey duck, black teal, and black swan—may be taken or killed within the acclimatization district comprising the County of Opotiki from the first day of June, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-two, to the thirty-first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-two (both days inclusive). And I do further notify that licenses to take or kill such imported game and native game within the said district will be issued to any person on payment of the sum of twenty shillings each; and the Postmaster at Opotiki is hereby authorized to sign and issue the said licenses.
And I do hereby restrict the number of such imported game and native game that may be taken or killed by any one person in any one day to not more than twelve cock pheasants and twenty-five head in all of grey duck, black teal, and black swan.

IN exercise of the powers vested in me by the Animals Protection and Game Act, 1921–22, I, William Downie Stewart, Minister of Internal Affairs of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify that the following imported game and native game—viz., mallard duck, Californian quail, grey duck, spoonbill duck (or widgeon), and black swan—may be taken or killed within the Otago Acclimatization District, comprising all that area in the Otago and Southland Districts comprising the Counties of Vincent, Maniototo, Waihemo, Waikouaiti, Taieri, Peninsula, Tuaepka, Bruce, Clutha, and part of the County of Southland, bounded on the east and south by the ocean from Shag Point to the mouth of the Mataura River, on the west by the Mataura River and the County of Lake, on the north-west by the County of Westland, and on the north-east by the County of Waitaki; including the City of Dunedin and the boroughs within the above-described area; (except in the areas mentioned in the Schedule hereto) from the first day of May, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-two, to the fifteenth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-two (both days inclusive). And I do further notify that licenses to take or kill such imported game and native game within the said district will be issued to any person on payment of the sum of twenty shillings each; and the Chief Postmaster at Dunedin, and the Postmasters at Alexandra, Balclutha, Beaumont, Clinton, Clyde, Cromwell, Dunback, Fortrose, Green Island, Henley, Hyde, Hawea Flat, Heriot, Kaitangata, Kelso, Lawrence, Lovell’s Flat, Matakauui, Middlemarch, Miller’s Flat, Mosgiel, Milton, Naseby, Omakau, Outram, Owaka, Port Chalmers, Portobello, Pukerau, Palmerston, Roxburgh, Ranfurly, Romahapa, St. Bathan’s, Stirling, Tapanui, Waihola, Waikouaiti, Wyndham, Waipahi, Waipiata, Waipori, and Waitahuna, are hereby authorized to sign and issue the said licenses.
And I do hereby restrict the number of such imported game and native game that may be taken or killed by any one person in any one day to not more than twelve mallard duck, twenty Californian quail, and twenty-five head in all of grey duck, spoonbill duck (widgeon), and black swan.
