Zealand, do hereby notify that the following imported game and native game—viz., cock pheasants, Californian quail, grey duck, black teal, and black swan—may be taken or killed within the Hawera Acclimatization District, comprising the Counties of Hawera, Waimate West, Patea, and Eltham, together with that portion of the County of Egmont lying to the eastward of the Taungatara River, being the Oeo Riding of the said County of Egmont, from the first day of May, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-two, to the thirty-first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-two (both days inclusive). And I do further notify that licenses to take or kill such imported game and native game within the said district will be issued to any person on payment of the sum of twenty shillings each; and the secretary of the said Hawera Acclimatization Society, or any person authorized by such secretary in that behalf, is hereby authorized to sign and issue the said licenses.
And I do hereby restrict the number of such imported game and native game that may be taken or killed by any one person in any one day to not more than ten cock pheasants, twenty Californian quail, and twenty-five head in all of grey duck, black teal, and black swan.
Nothing in any license to take or kill imported game and native game shall authorize the holder thereof to take or kill imported game and native game on lands actually and exclusively used by any registered acclimatization society for acclimatization purposes, or on any sanctuary or public domain.

Shooting Season for Imported Game and Native Game, License Fee, &c., Hawke’s Bay Acclimatization District.
IN exercise of the powers vested in me by the Animals Protection and Game Act, 1921–22, I, William Downie Stewart, Minister of Internal Affairs of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify that the following imported game and native game—viz., cock pheasants, Californian quail, Australian quail, mallard duck, grey duck, black teal, widgeon (or shoveller), and black swan—may be taken or killed within the Hawke’s Bay Acclimatization District, comprising all that area in the Auckland, Hawke’s Bay, and Wellington Land Districts, commencing at a point in the centre of the Rangitikei River with the intersection of a right line running between Trig. Stations 27 and 26, Tawaki-Tohunga, and situated in Blocks XV and XII, Mangamaire Survey District, respectively; thence towards the north generally by a right line to Trig. Station 26, Tawaki-Tohunga; thence by a right line to Trig. Station 65A; thence by a right line in a north-easterly direction through Trig. Station 68A to the middle of the Mohaka River; thence by the middle of the Mohaka and Taharua Rivers to a point in line with the north-western corner of Wharetoto No. 8 Subdivision B Block; thence by a right line to the intersection of the Taupo-Napier Road with the western boundary of Wharetoto No. 9 Block; thence by a right line running in the direction of the most northern shore of Lake Waikaremoana to its intersection with the north-eastern boundary of Heruiwi No. 4 Block; thence by that boundary to Maungataniwha Trig. Station in Tuatawhata Survey District; thence by the leading spur and the western watershed of Te Hoe River to a point on the Hautapu River due east of Pohokura Trig. Station; thence by a right line to Pohokura Trig. Station aforesaid; thence by the eastern watershed of the Mokomokonui Stream to the Tataroakino Mountain; thence by the leading spur to the confluence of the Mohaka and Waipunga Rivers; thence by the leading spur to Trig. Station 69A, Taraponui; thence by the leading spur and the southern watershed of the Waikare River to the sea at Moeangiangi; thence towards the east generally by high-water mark of the sea to the middle of the Waimata River, being the north-eastern corner of Waimata Survey District in Akitio County; thence by the northern boundaries of Waimata and Mount Cerebus Survey Districts and the northern boundary of Wellington Land District to the middle of the Manawatu River; thence by the middle of the Manawatu River to a point in line with the summit of the Ruahine Range; thence to and by the summit of that range to a right line running between Aorangi Trig. Station and the confluence of the northern branch of the Waipawa River with the Makaroro River; thence by that line to Aorangi Trig. Station; thence by a right line running in the direction of trig. numbered 32 to the middle of the Rangitikei River, and by the middle of that river to the place of commencement; (except in the areas mentioned in the Schedule hereto) from the first day of May, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-two, to the thirty-first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-two (both days inclusive). And I do further notify that licenses to take or kill such imported game and native game within the said district will be issued to any person on payment of the sum of twenty shillings each; and the secretary of the said Hawke’s Bay Acclimatization Society, or any person authorized by the said secretary in that behalf, is hereby authorized to sign and issue the said licenses.
And I do hereby restrict the number of such imported game and native game that may be taken or killed by any one person in any one day to not more than five cock pheasants, twenty Californian quail, ten Australian quail, five mallard duck, twenty-five head in all of grey duck, black teal, widgeon, and black swan: Provided that not more than five head of black teal or widgeon may be taken or killed by any one person in any one day.
Nothing in any license to take or kill imported game and native game shall authorize the holder thereof to take or kill imported game and native game on lands actually and exclusively used by any registered acclimatization society for acclimatization purposes, or on any sanctuary or public domain, or any land mentioned in the Schedule hereto.

IN exercise of the powers vested in me by the Animals Protection and Game Act, 1921–22, I, William Downie Stewart, Minister of Internal Affairs of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify that the following imported game and native game—viz., cock pheasants, Australian quail, grey duck, black teal, and black swan—may be taken or killed within the Hobson Acclimatization District, comprising all that area in the Auckland Land District, commencing on the sea-coast at the north-western corner of Block V, Waipoua Survey District, and bounded by the southern boundaries of Blocks I, II, III, and IV, Waipoua Survey District, to a public road, across that road, and by the western, southern, and south-eastern boundaries of Section 10, Block I, Tutamoe Survey District, to the north-eastern corner of the last-mentioned section, across a public road, and by the north-eastern boundaries of Sections 5, 6, and 7, Block V, Tutamoe Survey District, to the south-eastern corner of Section 5, Block I, Tutamoe Survey District; thence by the south-eastern boundaries of Sections 5, 4, 3, and 14 of the last-mentioned block, and part of the southern boundary of Section 5, Block II, Tutamoe Survey District, to the intersection of a line running between the north-western corner of Section 3, Block XIII, Punakitere Survey District, and Tutamoe Trig. Station; thence by the last-mentioned line to Tutamoe Trig. Station; thence generally by the northern and north-eastern boundary of Hobson County as described in New Zealand Gazette, 1911, page 3065, to the Otamatea County; thence by the northern boundary of Otamatea County as described in New Zealand Statutes, 1886, page 315, to the main road to Waipoua; thence by the western side of that road through Maungaturoto to the Great North Road, and by the western side of that road to the eastern boundary of Otamatea County; thence by the eastern and southern boundaries of Otamatea County, the eastern and southern boundaries of Hobson County, to the sea; thence by the sea to the north-western corner of Block V, Waipoua Survey District, the place of commencement; (except in the area mentioned in the Schedule hereto) from the first day of May, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-two, to the thirty-first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-two (both days inclusive). And I do further notify that licenses to take or kill such imported game and native game within the said district will be issued to any person on payment of the sum of twenty shillings each; and that the Postmasters at Maungaturoto, Paparoa, Pahi, Matakoe, Dargaville, Te Kopuru, Aratapu, Tangiteroria, Tangowahine, Kaihu, Miti tai, Raupo, Ruawai, Batley, Hoanga, Manga-whare, Mareretu, Onetoa, Naumai, Otamatea, Rehia, Tutamoe, Wairere, Whakapirau, and Tokatoka are hereby authorized to sign and issue the said licenses.
And I do hereby restrict the number of such imported game and native game that may be taken or killed by any one person in any one day to not more than twelve cock pheasants and Australian quail, and twenty-five head in all of grey duck, black teal, and black swan.
