TIMARU BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING A SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it
in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913,
and the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, the Timaru
Borough Council resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and sinking
fund and other charges on a special loan of £50,000 (to be
known as the Timaru Borough Electric Power and Light
Loan (No. 3) of £50,000), authorized to be raised by the
Timaru Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Acts,
for providing extra plant, buildings, and reticulation, and
converting the system from direct to alternating current, in
accordance with the reports of Mr. G. T. Wilson, Borough
Electrical Engineer, and Dr. Mindo, dated respectively 27th
August, 1920, and 28th September, 1920, and generally for
improving and extending the borough electrical installation,
and for other purposes in relation thereto prescribed by the
said Acts or any of them, the said Timaru Borough Council
hereby makes and levies a special rate of sixpence and one
farthing in the pound sterling upon the annual rateable
value of all rateable property of the Borough of Timaru,
comprising the whole of the Borough of Timaru; and this
Council resolves that such special rate shall be an annual-
recurring rate during the currency of such loan, as from the
30th day of September, 1921, and shall, without further
proceedings by the said Council, be payable yearly on the
first day of August in each and every year during the cur-
rency of such loan, being a period of ten years, or until the
loan is fully paid off.
That His Worship the Mayor and the Town Clerk, and each
of them, be authorized to take all necessary steps and to sign
all documents, including the Gazette notice, for giving effect
to the foregoing.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

THE Partnership between the undersigned as Cabinet-
makers and Furnishers, under the style of “Hookway
and Company,” is dissolved as from the thirty-first day of
October, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-one.
Moneys owing to the late firm must be paid to the under-
signed JAMES ALFRED HAMMOND, by whom existing obliga-
tions of the firm will be satisfied, and whose receipt for
money paid will be a sufficient discharge.

thousand nine hundred and twenty-one.

IN LIQUIDATION.

TAKE notice that by special resolution passed on the
3rd day of May, 1920, it was resolved that the GREY-
TOWN PICTURE COMPANY (LIMITED) go into liquidation.
And take further notice that on the 29th day of November,
1920, the undersigned was appointed Liquidator of the com-
pany.

TARANAKI MOTORS (LIMITED).

IN LIQUIDATION.

NOTICE is hereby given that by an entry in the minute-
book of the Taranaki Motors (Limited) dated the
25th day of October, 1921, and signed by the requisite number
of members of the company, it was resolved that the said
company be wound up voluntarily, and that VALENTINE
DUFF, of New Plymouth, Accountant, be appointed Liqui-
dator.

IN LIQUIDATION.

In the matter of A. L. WICKS (LIMITED).

AT an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders of
the above-named company held at the registered
office of the company, 182 Wakefield Street, Wellington, on
the 2nd day of November, 1921, the following extraordinary
resolution was duly passed:—
“That the power of liquidation of the firm of A. L. Wicks
(Limited) be left in the hands of W. J. Bridson, M. Steeds,
and A. L. Wicks.”
And at a subsequent meeting of the said W. J. Bridson,
M. Steeds, and A. L. Wicks held at the registered office of
A. L. Wicks (Limited), 182 Wakefield Street, Wellington,
on the 3rd day of November, 1921, the following resolution
was passed:—
“That the company go into immediate liquidation, and
E. B. BORHAM be appointed as Liquidator from this date.”

third day of November, 1921, cancelled the registry of
Primrose Tent No. 17, branch of the New Zealand District
No. 84 of the Independent Order of Rechabites friendly
society, Salford Unity, Register No. 190(23), held at Ohaupo,
on the ground that the said branch has ceased to exist.
