Declaring Portion of Awakino Valley (Upper) Road, in the Awakino County, to be a County Road.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 18th day of October, 1921.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become a county road.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that portion of Awakino Valley (Upper) Road, in the Auckland Land District, Awakino County, commencing at the south-eastern corner of Section 1, Block I, Awakino East Survey District, and proceeding thence generally in a north-westerly direction, adjoining or passing through Section 2 and part 3, Block II, Awakino East Survey District, and terminating at a point about twenty chains north of the south-western corner of the said Section 3; being a distance of 1 mile 20 chains, more or less. As the said portion of road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 52762, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.

The South-eastern and North-eastern Sides of Portions of Roads in Block V, Waimea Survey District, Waimea West Road District, exempted from the Provisions of Section 117 of the Public Works Act, 1908, subject to a Condition as to the Building-line.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 18th day of October, 1921.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the Waimea West Road Board on the fourth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-one, viz.:
“That the Waimea West Road Board, having control of that road leading from Waimea West main road and joining Redwoods Valley main road, abutting Section 68, Waimea Survey District, by resolution declares that the provisions of section one hundred and seventeen of the Public Works Act shall not apply to the said road abutting Section 68, Waimea West ”;
subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the south-eastern and north-eastern sides of the portions of roads described in the Schedule hereto within a distance of thirty-three feet from the centre-line of the said portions of roads.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that portion of road, situated in the Nelson Land District, Waimea West Road District, abutting on the north-western boundary of Section 68, Block V, Waimea Survey District.
Also all that portion of road, situated in the said land district and road district, abutting on the south-western boundary of the said Section 68, Block V, Waimea Survey District.
As the said portions of roads are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 51100, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.

Portion of Clarence Street, in the Borough of Riccarton, exempted from the Provisions of Section 117 of the Public Works Act, 1908, subject to a Condition as to the Building-line.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1908, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the Riccarton Borough Council on the eleventh day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-one, viz.:
“The Riccarton Borough Council, having control of that portion of Clarence Street, Riccarton, being both sides of the said street, from the Lincoln Road to the Main South Railway line, by resolution declares that the provisions of section one hundred and seventeen of the Public Works Act, 1908, shall not apply to the said portion of the said street ”;
subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on either side of the said portion of Clarence Street described in the Schedule hereto within a distance of thirty-three feet from the centre-line of the said portion of street.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that portion of street, in the Canterbury Land District, Borough of Riccarton, known as Clarence Street, situated between the Lincoln Road and the Main South Railway line. As the said portion of street is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 52226, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured blue.

Prescribing the Rate of Interest that may be paid by the Whangarei Borough Council in respect of £400, being the Balance of a Loan of £1,500 authorized to be raised for improving Kensington Park.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 18th day of October, 1921.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS section eleven of the Finance Act, 1921, provides that, notwithstanding anything to the contrary in any Act or in any rule of law, where a local authority or public body has been authorized before the passing of the said Act, or is thereafter authorized, to borrow money, whether pursuant to a poll of ratepayers or otherwise howsoever, at a specified rate of interest, or for a specified term exceeding ten years, and such money or any part thereof has not been borrowed, the local authority may, with the precedent consent of the Minister of Finance, borrow such money, or such amount thereof as has not been borrowed, at such rate of interest, or for such term not less than ten years, as may be prescribed by the Governor-General by Order in Council:
And whereas the Whangarei Borough Council has been authorized to borrow the sum of one thousand five hundred pounds, for improving Kensington Park, at five and one-quarter per centum per annum, and is now desirous of borrowing the sum of four hundred pounds, being the balance of the one thousand five hundred pounds, at an increased rate of interest:
And whereas the Minister of Finance has given his precedent consent as required by the above-recited section eleven, and it is desired that the rate of interest at which the said four hundred pounds may be borrowed be increased to not exceeding six and a half per centum per annum:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby prescribe that the rate of interest that may be paid by the Whangarei Borough Council in respect of the said four hundred pounds shall be a rate not exceeding six and and a half per centum; and the said Whangarei Borough Council is hereby authorized to borrow the said sum of four hundred pounds accordingly.
