Prohibiting all Alienation of certain Native Land other than Alienation in favour of the Crown.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 18th day of October, 1921.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL. *
ON the recommendation of the Native Land Purchase Board, referred to in section three hundred and sixty-three of the Native Land Act, 1909, and in exercise of the power in this behalf conferred upon him by that section, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby prohibit, for the period of one year from the date of this Order in Council, all alienation of the Native lands specified in the Schedule hereto other than alienation in favour of the Crown.

License authorizing Louis Reid and Clarence McKay, of Greymouth, Electrical Engineers and Contractors, to erect Electric Lines across Tainui Street, Greymouth.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 18th day of October, 1921.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Amendment Act, 1911, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth—subject to the conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto, and to the regulations made under section two of the aforesaid Act, and dated the twenty-second day of September, one thousand nine hundred and nineteen, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the twenty-fifth day of the same month, or any regulations hereafter made in amendment thereof or in substitution therefor (and hereinafter collectively referred to as “the regulations”), and which regulations shall be deemed to be incorporated herein—hereby authorize Louis Reid and Clarence McKay, of Greymouth, Electrical Engineers and Contractors (hereinafter referred to as “the licensee”), to erect and maintain electric lines for lighting, power, and heating purposes along the route described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
- ROUTE OF ELECTRIC LINES.
ALL that route in the Westland Land District, Greymouth Borough, commencing at the power-house situated on Block 3, N.R. 31, Greymouth Survey District, and proceeding thence in a westerly direction through the said Block 3, across Tainui Street to a building situated on Block 2, N.R. 31, in the said survey district.
As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 52580, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Land District of Wellington, and thereon shown by green lines.
- SYSTEM OF SUPPLY.
The system of supply shall be as described in paragraph (a) (1) of clause 3 of the regulations, and may be changed over in accordance with paragraph (c) at a later date. The generating voltage shall be approximately 100 volts D.C. between the terminals, and may be changed over to 400 volts A.C. at a later date, provided that due notice of such change over is given to the Minister.
- DATUM TEMPERATURE.
For the purpose of calculating the stresses as provided in clause 15 of the regulations, the datum temperature shall be taken as 20 degrees Fahrenheit.
- CHARGES FOR ELECTRICAL ENERGY.
The maximum charge for electrical energy shall not exceed 9d. per unit for lighting purposes, and 4d. per unit for motor-power, heating, or cooking purposes; provided that “lighting purposes” shall include the operation of motor generators for lighting purposes.
- DURATION OF LICENSE.
This license shall, unless sooner determined in accordance with the provisions hereinafter expressed, continue in force for a period of forty-two years from the date hereof. Upon the expiry of the said term, or upon the sooner determination of this license by revocation or otherwise, all rights hereby granted to the licensee shall thereupon cease and determine; but such expiration or determination shall not relieve the licensee of any liability theretofore incurred under this license.
- EXTENSIONS.
Notwithstanding anything contained in the regulations incorporated herein, no extensions or lines other than those along the route hereinbefore described shall be deemed to be authorized by this license.
- REQUIREMENTS OF GREYMOUTH BOROUGH COUNCIL.
Notwithstanding anything hereinbefore contained, the licensee shall not be entitled to erect, maintain, or use any electric lines within the Borough of Greymouth except subject to such conditions, not inconsistent with the provisions of this license and the regulations relating thereto, or any variation of this license or the regulations, or new regulations which may take the place of these regulations, as may from time to time be agreed upon between the licensee and the Greymouth Borough Council.
- VARIATION IN CONDITIONS OF LICENSE.
The terms and conditions of this license may at any time or from time to time, at the request or with the consent in writing of the licensee, be altered by the Governor-General by Order in Council.
- BARE WIRES.
Notwithstanding anything hereinbefore contained, no bare wires shall be erected unless and until the consent of the Minister has first been obtained in accordance with the regulations.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section nine of the Explosive and Dangerous Goods Amendment Act, 1920, and of all the powers enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint the several local authorities specified in the Schedule hereto to be licensing authorities for the purposes of the said Act within their respective districts.
