“(1.) Where the drawback payable on such goods is less than £1 sterling; and
“(2.) Where the goods are exported by any person not engaged in business.”

Approving the Term of License granted to the Auckland Gas Company (Limited) by the Auckland City Council for a Private Tramway along Beaumont Street in the City of Auckland.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section sixteen of the Tramways Act, 1908, and section ten of the Tramways Amendment Act, 1910, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the term of the license granted for a period of twenty-one years from the first day of February, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-one, by the Auckland City Council to the Auckland Gas Company (Limited), a company duly incorporated under the Companies Act, 1908, and having its registered office at Auckland, authorizing such company to construct and maintain along Beaumont Street within the City of Auckland a private tramway from the gasworks to the northern wall of the Auckland Harbour Board’s reclamation in Freeman’s Bay. As the said tramway is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 51833, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District.

Approving Transfer of Balances by the Wellington City Council in terms of Section 45 of the Finance Act, 1920.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 10th day of October, 1921.

His Excellency the Governor-General in Council.
WHEREAS by section forty-five of the Finance Act, 1920, it is provided that any local authority within the meaning of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, may, in anticipation of its revenue receivable under the General Account, temporarily transfer to its General Account any balance of a loan account, or any part thereof, for such period and on such terms as the Governor-General in Council may authorize:
And whereas the Wellington City Council has, in order to reduce the interest payable on its overdraft, made application for authority to transfer the sum of £25,000 from the Wellington City Water-supply Loan Account to its General Account, and it is expedient to authorize the said transfer:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon him by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby authorize the transfer of the aforesaid sum to the General Account of the Wellington City Council for a period of six months from the date hereof; provided, however, that this authority to transfer such amounts to the General Account shall not be taken to permit or authorize the increase of the bank overdraft beyond the amount at which it will stand when such transfer is made.

Consenting to stopping Portions of Road in Blocks V and VI, Whangarei Survey District, Whangarei County.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the Whangarei County Council stopping the portions of road described in the Schedule hereto.

Consenting to the Raising of a Loan of £1,000 authorized to be raised by the Brunner Borough Council on the Instalment System extending over a Period of Thirty-six and a Half Years.

His Excellency the Governor-General in Council.
WHEREAS section thirteen of the Finance Act, 1921, provides that where a local authority, as defined by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, has heretofore been or shall hereafter be authorized to raise a loan, whether pursuant to a poll of ratepayers or otherwise, and whether such loan has been raised in part or not, such local authority may, with the consent of the Governor-General in Council, raise any part of such loan upon terms of making the same, together with interest thereon, repayable by instalments extending over such period of years, whether in excess of the period mentioned in the poll taken on the proposal for such loan or not, and payable at such times as may be fixed by such local authority, and may permanently appropriate and pledge for the purpose of securing such instalments any special rate already made or hereafter to be made, or any part of such special rate:
And whereas the Brunner Borough Council has been authorized to borrow the sum of one thousand pounds for the purpose of paying the Council’s proportion of the cost of rebuilding Wallsend-Taylorville Bridge:
And whereas application has been made by the Borough Council for the consent of His Excellency the Governor-General in Council to the raising of the above-mentioned loan of one thousand pounds on the instalment system extending over a period of thirty-six and a half years:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the Brunner Borough Council raising the said loan of one thousand pounds upon the terms of making the same, together with interest thereon, repayable by instalments extending over a period of thirty-six and a half years, and the said Brunner Borough Council is hereby authorized to borrow the said sum of one thousand pounds accordingly.
