Consenting to the raising of Loans by certain Local Authorities.
JELLICOE, Governor-General.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 10th day of October, 1921.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCE THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS application has been made under section twenty, subsection one, of the Finance Act, 1919, for the precedent consent of the Governor-General in Council to enable the several local authorities mentioned in the Schedule hereto to borrow the sums set out therein, and it is expedient that such consent should issue:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the raising of the loans hereinafter mentioned by the several local authorities set out in the Schedule hereto; and it is hereby declared that this Order in Council is made under the provisions in that behalf of the Finance Act, 1919, and shall operate accordingly as a consent of the Governor-General in Council to the raising of the loans hereby authorized.

CHRISTCHURCH City Council (for erection of municipal offices and purchase of pleasure-ground) ... £53,500

Constituting the Kawa West Rabbit District.—Notice No. 2089.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 10th day of October, 1921.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section sixty-nine of the Rabbit Nuisance Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), as amended by the Rabbit Nuisance Amendment Act, 1918, it is provided that the Governor-General may from time to time, by Order in Council gazetted, on petition in that behalf from a majority of the ratepayers therein, constitute and declare any part of New Zealand defined in such Order in Council a district for the purposes of Part III of the said Act:
And whereas a petition in accordance with the provisions of the said Act has been received, asking that the lands described in the Schedule hereto be constituted and declared a rabbit district for the purposes of Part III of the said Act:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by the said Act and its amendments, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby constitute by the specific name of “the Kawa West Rabbit District” and declare that part of New Zealand defined in the Schedule hereto to be a district for the purposes of Part III of the said Act; and doth hereby further declare that the Board of Trustees for the said district shall in terms of the said Act consist of six members.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District bounded by a line commencing at the junction of the Waipa River and the southern boundary of Section 23, Block XVI, Pirongia Survey District; thence proceeding in an easterly, southerly, and easterly direction by the southern, western, and southern boundaries of Section 23, Block XVI, and by the southern boundary of Section 13, Block XIII; thence in a northerly, easterly, and north-easterly direction by the eastern, southern, and south-eastern boundaries of Section 13; thence in an easterly, south-westerly, and easterly direction by the southern, south-western, and southern boundaries of Section 1c, Ouruwhero No. 1, to its intersection with the Main Trunk line; thence in a northerly direction by the railway-line to its intersection with the north-eastern boundary of part Section 3o 2c; thence in a north-westerly direction by the north-eastern boundary of part Section 3o 2c; thence in a north-easterly direction by the south-eastern boundary of Section 3o 2B; thence in a south-easterly and northerly direction by the south-western and eastern boundaries of Section 3o 1; thence in a south-easterly direction by the south-western boundary of Section part 10B 4 to its intersection with the Main Trunk line; thence in a northerly direction by the railway-line to its intersection with No. 3 Drain, Kawa Drainage Area; thence in a westerly and south-westerly direction following the drain to its junction with the Kawa Drainage Board’s main drain; thence in a north-westerly direction following the main drain to the Ouruwhero Road where the drain merges into the Maungawhero Stream; thence generally in a north-westerly direction following the Maungawhero Stream to its junction with the Waipa River; thence generally in a southerly direction following the Waipa River to the point of commencement.

ALL that area of land in the Auckland Land District bounded by a line commencing at the intersection of the Owairaka Stream with the south-eastern boundary of Maungatautari No. 4F 1 Block in Block XIII, Maungatautari Survey District; thence in a north-easterly direction by the south-eastern boundary of the said Block No. 4F 1 and No. 4G 1 to its intersection with the Waotu-Kihikihi Road; thence in a westerly direction by the Kihikihi-Waotu Road to its intersection with the south-eastern boundary of Maungatautari No. 4H 4B; thence in a north-easterly direction by the south-eastern, northern, and south-eastern boundaries of No. 4H 4B; thence in a north-westerly direction by the north-eastern boundaries of No. 4H 4B and No. 4H; thence in a south-westerly and southerly direction by the north-western and western boundaries of No. 4H to its intersection with the Mangaohoe Stream; thence generally in a north-westerly direction by the Mangaohoe Stream to its intersection with the western boundary of Maungatautari No. 5A 1B; thence in a southerly direction by the western boundaries of No. 5A 1B, No. 5A 1A 2, No. 5A 1A 1, and No. 5A 2; thence in an easterly direction by the southern boundary of No. 5A 2; thence in a south-westerly direction by the north-western boundary of Maungatautari No. 4H 6 to its intersection with the Owairaka Stream; thence generally in an easterly direction by the Owairaka Stream to the commencing-point.
