Revoking the Reservation over a Scenic Reserve in the Wellington Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by Proclamation dated the sixteenth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and eight, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the twenty-second day of that month, the land described in the Schedule hereto was declared to be a reserve under the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908:

And whereas the said land is no longer suitable for scenic purposes owing to the absence of scenic bush thereon:

Now, therefore, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon me by section eight of the Scenery Preservation Amendment Act, 1910, do hereby revoke the reservation for scenic purposes over the land described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.

Section 2, Block VI, Huna Survey District: Area, 4 acres 2 roods 37 perches.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand; and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this 26th day of August, 1921.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the Scenery Preservation Board, constituted pursuant to the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), has recommended that the land described in the Schedule hereto should be permanently reserved for scenic purposes, and it is expedient to give effect to such recommendation:

Now, therefore, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be a scenic reserve under the said Act, and subject to the provisions thereof.

SCHEDULE.

TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT.

Section 4s, Huatoki Settlement, Block V, Paritutu Survey District: Area, 9 acres 3 roods 15 perches.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand; and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this 26th day of August, 1921.

Lands set apart as a Provisional State Forest.

A PROCLAMATION.

BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section thirty-four of the War Legislation and Statute Law Amendment Act, 1918, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby set apart the Crown lands described in the Schedule hereto as and for a provisional State forest.

SCHEDULE.

PROVISIONAL STATE FOREST PART 28.

ALL that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, containing by admeasurement 2,306 acres 3 roods, more or less, being Section 1, Block I, Mangaoporo Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east by Tapatu Block, 6620·3 links; towards the east by Section 1, Block II, Mangaoporo Survey District, 16813·2 links; towards the south by Ahomatariki No. 3b Block, 14752·1 links; and towards the west generally by Waikura Block, 11332 links, and Mangaparoa Block, 17244 links.

Also all that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, containing by admeasurement 405 acres 3 roods, more or less, being Section 2, Block II, Mangaoporo Survey District. Bounded towards the north-west by Section 1, Block II aforesaid, 12219·4 links; towards the south-east by Tangihanga Block and Hauturu Block, 7080 links; towards the south by Ahomatariki No. 2b Block, 4292·4 links; and towards the south-west by Waiorongomai Block, 3838·1 links.

Be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same are delineated on atlas R. 033, deposited in the Head Office, State Forest Service, at Wellington, and thereon bordered green.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand; and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this 30th day of August, 1921.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by a Proclamation dated the fifth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty, and gazetted on the eighth day of July of that year, certain national-endowment land in Wakapuaka Survey District, in the Nelson Land District, was, inter alia, set apart as and for a provisional State forest in terms of section thirty-four of the War Legislation and Statute Law Amendment Act, 1918, and section two of the State Forests Amendment Act, 1919:

And whereas the land described in the Schedule hereto (being part of the land so set apart) is required for settlement, and it is expedient that the said Proclamation should be revoked in so far as it relates to the land described in the said Schedule:

Now, therefore, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon me by clauses (b) and (c) of subsection three of section thirty-four of the War Legislation and Statute Law Amendment Act, 1918, and of all other powers and authorities enabling me in this behalf, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby revoke the Proclamation dated the fifth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty, hereinbefore referred to, in so far as it relates to the land described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

AREA TO BE WITHDRAWN FROM PROVISIONAL STATE-FOREST RESERVATION.

Nelson Conservation Region.

ALL that area of land situated in Block VII, Wakapuaka Survey District, Nelson Land District, containing by admeasurement 29 acres, more or less, and being portion of provisional State forest in the above-mentioned survey district. Commencing at a point the extreme north-western corner of Section 18, Block VII aforesaid; thence in a south-easterly direction generally by the western boundary of the said section to a point in line with the southern boundary of Section 103, Block VII; by a line produced from this point to the south-eastern corner of Section 103 aforesaid, and by the eastern boundary of that section to the extreme south-western corner of Section 102 of Block VII, and by the southern boundary of the last-mentioned section to the place of commencement. As the same is delineated on the atlas N.M. 103, deposited in the Head Office, State Forest Service, at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand; and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this 30th day of August, 1921.
