NOTICE is hereby given that a meeting of shareholders in the MANILA GRAVEL and GOLD-DREDGING Company (Limited), in Liquidation, will be held at the registered office of the company, 15 Stock Exchange Buildings, Water Street, Dunedin, on Thursday, the 25th August, 1921, at 4 p.m., for the purpose of having an account laid before them showing the manner in which the winding-up has been conducted and the assets of the company disposed of, and of hearing any explanation that may be given by us as Liquidators; and also of determining by extraordinary resolution the manner in which the books, accounts, and documents of the company and of the Liquidators shall be disposed of.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore subsisting between THOMAS JOSEPH BETTLE and GEORGE WILLIAM BETTLE, both of Christchurch, Chemists, carrying on business at Christchurch as Rennet-manufacturers, under the style or firm of “Bettle Brothers,” has been dissolved from the 1st day of April, 1921, so far as concerns the interests of the said George William Bettle, who has retired from the said firm.

KAWA DRAINAGE BOARD.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Kawa Drainage Board hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest and also other charges on a loan of £4,000, authorized to be raised by the Kawa Drainage Board, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for making, widening, and improving drains on the Kawa Drainage District, the said Kawa Drainage Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 9/11ths of a penny in the pound on the rateable value of all property in the Kawa Drainage District classed as Class “A” (as receiving or supposed to receive immediate and direct benefit from the construction of the drainage-works), and a special rate of 6/11ths of a penny in the pound on all rateable property in the Kawa Drainage District classed as Class “B” (as receiving or supposed to receive less direct benefit from the construction of the drainage-works); and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable on the 31st day of March in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

COUNTY OF HAURAKI PLAINS.

RESOLUTIONS LEVYING SPECIAL RATES.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Hauraki Plains County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of nine hundred pounds (£900), authorized to be raised by the Hauraki Plains County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of erecting a worker’s dwelling within the Tahuna Riding of the County of Hauraki Plains (including, if necessary, the purchase of any land required for such dwelling), the said Hauraki Plains County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-eighth of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the special rating area comprising the whole of the Tahuna Riding of the County of Hauraki Plains; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Hauraki Plains County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Hauraki Plains County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of nine hundred pounds (£900), authorized to be raised by the Hauraki Plains County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of erecting a worker’s dwelling within the Netherton Riding of the County of Hauraki Plains (including, if necessary, the purchase of any land required for such dwelling), the said Hauraki Plains County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-twentieth of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the special rating area comprising the whole of the Netherton Riding of the County of Hauraki Plains; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Hauraki Plains County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of nine hundred pounds (£900), authorized to be raised by the Hauraki Plains County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of erecting a worker’s dwelling within the Turua Riding of the County of Hauraki Plains (including, if necessary, the purchase of any land required for such dwelling), the said Hauraki Plains County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one twenty-fourth of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the special rating area comprising the whole of the Turua Riding of the County of Hauraki Plains; and that such rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Hauraki Plains County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
