rized to be raised by the Hauraki Plains County Council,
under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of erecting
a worker's dwelling within the County of Hauraki Plains
(including, if necessary, the purchase of any land required
for such dwelling), the said Hauraki Plains County Council
hereby makes and levies a special rate of one forty-eighth
of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rate-
able property within the County of Hauraki Plains ; and that
such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during
the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the
first day of July in each and every year during the currency
of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan
is fully paid off.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the Hauraki
Plains County Council hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of three hundred pounds (£300), authorized
to be raised by the Hauraki Plains County Council, under
the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of the formation
and metalling of that part of the Ngataipua East Road
between the Turua-Orongo Road and the south-western
boundary of the Ngataipua 1b 1 Block where it crosses the
said Ngataipua East Road, the said Hauraki Plains County
Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of five-eighths
of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rate-
able property of the Ngataipua East Road Loan Special
Rating Area, comprising part Section 13, Block XI, Thames
S.D., containing 41 acres ; Lot part 13, Block XI, Thames
S.D., containing 65 acres 3 roods ; Section part 13, Block XI,
Thames S.D., containing 135 acres 1 rood 16 perches ; Nga-
taipua part Section 1b 1, Thames S.D., containing 32 acres
1 rood 6 perches ; part Ngataipua Section part 1a, part
Pirau West, Block XI, Thames S.D., containing 90 acres
1 rood 20 perches. And that such special rate shall be an
annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and
be payable on the first day of July in each and every year
during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years,
or until the loan is fully paid off.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908 ; and in the
matter of A. R. MCNEIL AND COMPANY (LIMITED), a
Private Company incorporated under the said Act and
carrying on business in Auckland as Merchants.
NOTICE is hereby given that a petition for the winding-up
of the above-named company by the Supreme Court
of New Zealand was on the 3rd day of August, 1921, at Auck-
land, presented to His Honour Mr. Justice Adams, a Judge
of the Supreme Court, by Messrs. R. and W. Hellaby (Li-
mitted), Alpe Bros. and Co., and Abbott, Armstrong, and
Howie, creditors of the said company ; and the said petition
is directed to be heard before a Judge of the said Court at
the Supreme Court House, Auckland, on the 19th day of
August, 1921, at 10 o'clock in the forenoon ; and any creditors
or contributory of the said company desirous to oppose the
making of an order for the winding-up of the said company
under the above Act should appear at the time of hearing by
himself or his counsel for that purpose ; and a copy of the
petition will be furnished to any creditor or contributory of
the said company requiring the same, by the undersigned,
on payment of the regulated charge for the same.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908.
NOTICE is hereby given that the following special reso-
lutions were passed at a meeting of the shareholders
of the SURGICAL SUPPLY COMPANY (LIMITED) held on the
15th day of July, 1921, and confirmed at a meeting of share-
holders held on the 2nd day of August, 1921 :—
(1.) That it is desirable that the company should sell its
undertaking to the New Zealand Consolidated Dental Com-
pany (Limited), and accordingly that the company be wound
up voluntarily ; and that ALFRED HERMAN GYLLIES, of
Auckland, Accountant, be and he is hereby appointed Liqui-
dator for the purpose of such winding-up.
(2.) That the said Liquidator be and he is hereby autho-
rized to enter into an agreement with the New Zealand Con-
solidated Dental Company (Limited) for the sale to that
company of this company's business and assets upon the
terms set forth in the draft agreement submitted to the
meeting, but with such modifications (if any) as the Liqui-
dator thinks fit.

NOTICE is hereby given, pursuant to section 223 of the
Companies Act, 1908, that the following resolutions
were passed as special resolutions on the 21st day of July,
1921, and confirmed at a subsequent meeting held on the 5th
day of August, 1921 :—
“That owing to the company having ceased to carry on
business it is advisable to wind up the same, and that it be
wound up accordingly.
“That STANLEY GEORGE CHAMBERS be appointed Liquida-
tor for the purpose of winding up the affairs of the company.”

WAIROA LAND COMPANY (LIMITED).
In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908, and the Wairoa
Land Company (Limited), a Public Company.
NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general
meeting of the members of the above company held
at the registered office of the said company on the 27th day
of July, 1921, the following resolution was passed and entered
in the minute-book of the said company :—
Resolution of Winding-up.
In accordance with section 168 of the Companies Act, 1908,
it is hereby resolved, “That it has been proved to the
satisfaction of this meeting that the company cannot by
reason of its liabilities continue its business, and that it is
advisable to wind up the same, and accordingly that the
company be wound up voluntarily, and that Mr. A. L. RAVEN,
147 Queen Street, Auckland, be and is hereby appointed
Liquidator for the purpose of such winding-up.”
Creditors of the above-named company are required, on or
before the 30th day of August, 1921, to send their names and
addresses and particulars of their debt or claims, and the
names and addresses of their solicitors (if any), to the Liquida-
tor of the said company, and if so required by notice in
writing from the said Liquidator are by their solicitors or
personally to come in and prove their said debts or claims at
such time and place as shall be specified in such notice, or in
default thereof they will be excluded from the benefit of any
distribution made before such debts are proved.

the above-named company duly convened and held at
the office of Women’s Hostel (Limited), Karamu Road,
Hastings, on Thursday, 28th day of July, 1921, the following
extraordinary resolution was duly passed :—
“That the company forthwith go into voluntary liquida-
tion, and that ALGERNON I. RAINBOW, Public Accountant,
Queen Street, Hastings, be appointed Liquidator.”

wound up voluntarily ; and that GEORGE HOMAN WALLACE
be and is hereby appointed Liquidator for the purpose of
such winding-up.”
At an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders held
on 28th July, 1921, this special resolution was duly confirmed.
