as from the seventeenth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-one, to be the Dipton Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto ; and doth hereby appoint Wednesday, the thirty-first day of August, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-one, at half past seven o'clock p.m., as the time when, and the Town Hall, Dipton, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

SCHEDULE.

SEFTON DOMAIN.—CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT.
ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 14 acres 2 roods 16 perches, more or less, being Reserve 4049, formerly part of Sections 3135 and 6675, situated in Block IV, Rangiora Survey District. Commencing at a point on the north side of the road forming the southern boundary of the said Section 6675, distant 550 links from Pemberton's Road ; thence bounded towards the west by other parts of the said Sections 6675 and 3135, 1000 links ; towards the north by other part of the said Section 3135, 1379·5 links ; towards the east by other parts of the said Sections 3135 and 6675, 1017 links ; and towards the south by a public road 1541·5 links : be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.

Exchanging a Plantation Reserve in Block VII, Pukaki West Survey District, Canterbury Land District, for other Land.

PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the land described in Part I of the Schedule hereto was heretofore duly set apart for plantation purposes, being a reserve within Class I of the Second Schedule to the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”) : And whereas by section four of the said Act the Governor-General is authorized, inter alia, to exchange any such reserve for other land of equal value, to be dedicated to the same or one or more of the purposes comprised in the said Class I, and to define the purpose to which such reserve or such land acquired in exchange shall be dedicated : And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor-General, it is expedient to exchange the said plantation reserve for other land of equal value, described in Part II of the Schedule hereto, to be dedicated as hereinafter provided :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section four of the said Act, doth hereby declare that the reserve for plantation purposes described in Part I of the Schedule hereto is hereby exchanged for the Crown land described in Part II of the Schedule hereto, which, in the opinion of the Governor-General, is of equal value ; and doth also declare that the land described in the said Part I becomes and is Crown land freed from all previous reservation and subject to the provisions of the Land Act, 1908, and that the land described in the said Part II is hereby reserved for plantation purposes, being one of the purposes comprised in the said Class I.

SCHEDULE.

PART I.

Description of Reserve exchanged.

ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 50 acres, more or less, and being Reserve 2929, situated in Block VII, Pukaki West Survey District. Bounded towards the north, west, and south by Section 36860, 3428·3, 1514·7, and 3440·2 links respectively ; and towards the east by the road reserve two chains wide along the shore of Lake Pukaki : excluding from the above-described boundaries the public road one chain wide intersecting the same. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 47270, Department of Lands and Survey at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

PART II.

Description of Land obtained in Exchange therefor.

All that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 50 acres, more or less, and being Reserve 4044 (formerly part of Section 36860), situated in Block VII,
