yearly rent, £95. Renewable lease: Half-yearly rent, £76.
- Includes value of fencing on the section.
Fairly easy sloping country, has a little native grass, but
is chiefly in fern, with patches of scrub. Situated about
thirty-five miles from Wairoa.
SECOND CLASS LAND.
Wairoa County.-Taramarama Survey District.
Section 3, Block XIII: Area, 748 acres 1 rood. Capital
value, £2,060.† Occupation with right of purchase: Half-
yearly rent, £51 10s. Renewable lease: Half-yearly rent,
£41 4s.
†Includes £25 value of fencing.
Consists of easy slopes and a small terrace, all covered with
heavy scrub and fern; fair soil, well watered. Situated
about nine miles from Wairoa by the Wairoa-Putere dray-road.

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon
me by section one hundred and twenty-six of the
Land Act, 1908, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby
appoint Tuesday, the thirteenth day of September, one thou-
sand nine hundred and twenty-one, as the time at which the
lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be sold by public
auction for cash or on deferred payments; and I do hereby
fix the prices at which the said lands shall be sold as those
mentioned in the said Schedule hereto.

DESCRIPTION.
Kakahi is situated on the flat near junction of Upper
Wanganui and Whakapapa Rivers, about 185 miles from

Auckland and ten miles south of Taumarunui, and is in the
centre of a splendid timber country. Access is by Main
Trunk Railway, which passes the town. Also by main road
from Taumarunui to Raurimu.

General, this 8th day of July, 1921.

Setting apart Unalienated Crown Land for Purposes of Part II
(State Coal-mines) of the Coal-mines Act, 1908.
JELLICOE, Governor-General.
PURSUANT to the provisions of Part II (State Coal-mines)
of the Coal-mines Act, 1908, and in exercise of the
powers thereby conferred, I, John Rushworth, Viscount
Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand,
being of opinion that the land hereinafter described is required
for coal-mining operations, do hereby notify and declare that
the said land is hereby set apart for the purposes of Part II
of the Coal-mines Act, 1908.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area of unalienated Crown land situated in the
Westland Land District, and containing approximately
3 roods 3 perches, being Section 10, Block X, and Sections 1
and 6, Block XI, Town of Runanga, and situated in Blocks II
and III, Cobden Survey District. As the same is delineated
on the plan marked Mines, N. 6/10/1, deposited in the Head
Office, Mines Department, at Wellington, and thereon coloured
green.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, this 8th day of July, 1921.
