Whataupoko No. 5, the north-eastern boundaries of Sections Nos. 57, 58, 23, 22, 21, and 20, Whataupoko No. 3 Block, and the northern boundaries of Sections Nos. 19, 18, 17, 16, 15, 14, 13, 12, 11, 10, and 8 of the last-mentioned block to the western side of Lytton Road; thence south-westerly along that roadside to the right bank of the Taruheru River, and up that bank to the north-western corner of the Borough of Gisborne as described in the New Zealand Gazette, 1918, page 162; thence along the north-western and south-western boundaries of that borough to the sea; and thence along the seashore to the mouth of the Waipaoa River, the place of commencement.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand; and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this 12th day of July, 1921.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the Springfield deviation of the Midland Railway.

Revoking Part of a Proclamation taking Additional Land at Kaiwarra for the Purposes of the Wellington-Napier Railway.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by the Public Works Amendment Act, 1909, it is enacted that if at any time after the issue or making of any Proclamation taking land under the Public Works Act, 1908, and before the payment or award of any compensation in respect of the taking thereof, it is found that the land or any part thereof is not required for the purpose for which it was taken the Governor-General may, by a subsequent Proclamation gazetted, revoke the former Proclamation, either wholly or so far as he thinks necessary :
And whereas it is found that part of the land at Kaiwarra taken for the purposes of the Wellington-Napier Railway by a Proclamation made under the Public Works Act, 1908, dated the fifth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and twenty (hereinafter termed “the said Proclamation”), and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 25, of the eleventh day of March, one thousand nine hundred and twenty, pages 786 and 787, is not required for the purposes for which it was taken:
Now, therefore, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in me by the Public Works Amendment Act, 1909, and of all other powers enabling me in this behalf, do hereby revoke so much of the said Proclamation as affects the land described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land : 1 rood 11·1 perches. Portion of railway reserve (part Section 3, Harbour District), Block XI, Belmont Survey District, City of Wellington. (S.O. 1540.)
In the Wellington Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked W.R. 28429, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured neutral tint.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand; and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this 8th day of July, 1921.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section three of the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby revoke the Proclamation made on the fifth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and twenty, and published in the Gazette of the eleventh day of November then instant, setting apart Crown land for selection by discharged soldiers, under the Land Act, 1908, in so far as it relates to the land in the Schedule hereto.

Wairoa County.
SECTION 2, Block XIII, Tuahu Survey District: Area, 3,732 acres l rood 8 perches.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section three of the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby revoke the Proclamation made on the third day of December, one thousand nine hundred and twenty, and published in the Gazette of the ninth day of December then instant, setting apart the area of Crown land described in Schedule hereto, for selection by discharged soldiers, under the Land Act, 1908.
