NOTICE is hereby given that at a special general meeting of the Cheviot Public Hall Company (Limited) held at McKenzie (Cheviot) on the 12th day of May, 1921, the following special resolution was passed :—
“That the Cheviot Public Hall Company (Limited) be wound up voluntarily.”
The above resolution was confirmed at a special general meeting held at McKenzie (Cheviot) on the 9th day of June, 1921.

KIWITEA COUNTY COUNCIL.
MANGAWHARARIKI AND KAWHATAU ROADS SPECIAL RATING AREA.—RESOLUTION MAKING AND LEVYING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Kiwitea County Council hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of £1,000 (one thousand pounds) sterling, authorized to be raised by the Kiwitea County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of road-formation and construction of concrete culverts on the Mangawharariki and Kawhatau Roads in the Hautapu Riding, the said Kiwitea County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1/31st of one penny in the pound sterling upon the rateable valuation (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the Hautapu Riding; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I, WILLIAM THOMAS ROGERS, heretofore called and known by the name of William Thomas Liley, of Palmerston North, Painter, hereby give public notice that on the 28th day of May, 1921, I formally and absolutely renounced, relinquished, and abandoned the use of my said surname of “Liley,” and then assumed and adopted and determined thenceforth on all occasions whatsoever to use and subscribe the name of “Rogers” instead of the said surname of “Liley.”
And I give further notice that by a deed-poll dated the 28th day of May, 1921, duly executed and attested and enrolled in the office of the Supreme Court at Palmerston North on the 24th day of June, 1921, I formally and absolutely renounced and abandoned the said surname of “Liley,” and declared that I had assumed and adopted and intended thenceforth upon all occasions whatsoever to use and subscribe the name of “Rogers” instead of “Liley,” and so as to be at all times thereafter called, known, and described by the name of WILLIAM THOMAS ROGERS exclusively.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore subsisting between ANDREW NICHOLSON TELFER and THOMAS TELFER, THE YOUNGER, carrying on business as Brydone as Farmers, under the style of “Telfer Brothers,” has been dissolved by mutual consent as from the first day of July, 1921. All accounts due by the Partnership should be rendered to THOMAS TELFER at Brydone, by whom same will be paid.
