Stopping a Government Road in Block X, Kaitieke Survey District.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as stopped the Government road described in the Schedule hereto, such road being no longer required.


SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road hereby stopped: 3 roods 6 perches.

Adjoining or passing through Kaitieke Township Reserve, situated in Block X, Kaitieke Survey District. (S.O. 1611.)

In the Wellington Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 50812, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured green.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand; and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this 12th day of April, 1921.

Authorizing the Sale of Land in the Borough of Te Kuiti under the Public Works Act, 1908.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 12th day of April, 1921.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby authorize the land described in the Schedule hereto to be dealt with and sold in the manner prescribed by and subject to the conditions of the thirtieth and following sections of the Public Works Act, 1908, such land having been taken under the provisions of the said Act for the purpose of a street and for paddocking driven cattle by a Proclamation dated the seventh day of November, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the ninth day of the same month, and being no longer required for such purposes.

Appointing Members of the First and Second Divisions of the Court of Appeal.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 6th day of April, 1921.

Present:

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE W. F. MASSEY, P.C., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section five of the Judicature Amendment Act, 1913, it is enacted that the Court of Appeal shall consist of two Divisions, to be called respectively the First Division and the Second Division of the Court of Appeal; and that each Division shall consist of five Judges of the Supreme Court, to be appointed to that Division by the Governor-General in Council:

And whereas the power conferred by the said Act upon the Governor-General in Council of appointing Judges as members of either Division, or of revoking any such appointment, shall be exercisable on the recommendation of not less than three Judges of the Supreme Court (of whom the Chief Justice shall be one), and not otherwise:

And whereas the Honourable the Chief Justice, the Honourable Mr. Justice Sim, and the Honourable Mr. Justice Hosking have recommended that the two Divisions of the Court of Appeal shall be constituted as shown hereafter:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint

Allocating Cost of taking Poll under Section 131 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, Borough of Morrinsville.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance of the powers vested in him by section one hundred and thirty-one of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, and of every other power and authority enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby direct that the Morrinsville Borough Council shall defray all the costs incurred in connection with the taking of a poll under the said Act on the fifteenth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and twenty, on the proposal to constitute the Borough of Morrinsville
