COOK COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Cook County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £150 (being 10 per cent. of an original loan of £1,500), authorized to be raised by the Cook County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for metalling Wharerata Hill Road, the said Cook County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-sixtieth of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Wharerata Special Rating District, comprising Whareongaonga A, Block I, Paritu S.D.; Wharongaonga B, C 12/1, C 12 No. 3A, C 12 No. 3C, C 12 No. 6, C 12 No. 4B, C 12 No. 4A, C 1B, C 4, C 5, C 6, C 1A 3, C 7, C 12 No. 5B, C 8, C 9, C 10B, C 11B 1, C 1A 5, C 12 No. 5D, C 12 No. 5, C 1A 1, C 2, C 3, C 11A 1, C 11B 3, C 11B 4A, C 11 part 2, C 12 No. 2, C 12 No. 5G, C 12 No. 5E, C 10A, C 1A 2, C 1A 4, C 12 No. 5F, C 11A 2, C 11B 2, C 11B 4B, C 12 No. 3B, C 12 No. 5C, all in Block V, Paritu S.D.; part Paritu 6, Block XII; Section 1, Block XII; Section 1, Block VIII; parts Sections 2 and 3, Block XI; Rahokapua 3 and Okahu Blocks VIII and VII; Sections 1 and 11, Block XI; Te Umuhaku 1A, 1B, Block VIII; Rahokapua 1B, 1A 2, Block VIII; part Lot 1, Paritu 6, Block XII; all in Nuhaka North S.D.; Lot 1, Paritu 4, Blocks IX and V; Paritu part 5, Block IX; part Paritu 4, Blocks IX and V; Paritu S.D.; Section 4, Block XI, Nuhaka North S.D.; Puninga 1, 2, 6, 7A, 7B, 7C, 7D, 8, 9, 10, 11A, 11B, 11C, 12A, 12B 1A, 12B 1B, 12C 1C, 12B 2, all in Block VIII, Nuhaka North S.D.

And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of July in each and every year during a period equal to the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half years, or until the loan is fully paid off. The rate of interest to be four and a half per cent.

EDUCATION BOARD OF THE DISTRICT OF OTAGO.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LANDS.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Education Board of the District of Otago has resolved and proposes to take, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1908, and the amendments thereof, the lands specified in the Schedule hereto, for the purposes of a public school.

And notice is hereby further given that a plan showing the lands required to be taken and the names of the owners and occupiers of such lands is deposited at the School, Broad Bay, and is open for inspection by all persons at all reasonable hours. And the Board calls upon all persons affected to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections to the taking of such lands, and to send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Board, addressed to the Secretary thereof.

SCHEDULE.

All that parcel of land situated in the Township of Broad Bay Extension No. 1, containing thirty-six poles and one-tenth of a pole (36·1), more or less, being Allotment five on the plan of the said township deposited in the Lands Registry Office at Dunedin as No. 2733, and being part of the land comprised in certificate of title, Register-book Vol. 181, folio 132.

All that parcel of land situated in the said Township of Broad Bay Extension No. 1, containing one rood thirty-five poles and three-tenths of a pole (35·3) more or less, being Allotments 6 and 7 on the said plan deposited in the Lands Registry Office at Dunedin as No. 2733, and being the whole of the land comprised in certificate of title, Register-book Vol. 185, folio 248.

All that parcel of land situated in the said Township of Broad Bay Extension No. 1, containing one rood (more or less), being Allotment 8 on the said plan deposited in the Lands Registry Office at Dunedin as No. 2733, and being part of the land comprised in certificate of title, Register-book Vol. 181, folio 130.

SCHEDULE.

All that parcel of land, containing by admeasurement one rood (more or less), situate in Dunedin, and being section numbered twenty-seven, Block thirty, on the map of Dunedin aforesaid, and bounded towards the west-north-west by Great King Street, one hundred links and sixteen-hundredths of a link; towards the north-north-east by section numbered twenty-eight of the same block, two hundred and fifty links; towards the east-south-east by section numbered thirty-four of the same block, one hundred links and sixteen-hundredths of a link; and towards the south-south-west by section numbered twenty-six of the same block, two hundred and fifty links.
