MEDICAL REGISTRATION.
JAMES JEFCOATE VALENTINE, Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery, now residing in Dunedin,
hereby give notice that I intend applying on the 23rd April
next to have my name placed on the Medical Register of the
Dominion of New Zealand; and that I have deposited the
evidence of my qualification in the office of the Registrar of
Births and Deaths at Dunedin.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership hitherto
subsisting between us, the undersigned, SIR THOMAS
MACKENZIE, GEORGE HOLYFORD THOMPSON, and THOMAS
MACKENZIE THOMPSON, in the business carried on at Clyde
Street, Balclutha, under the name or style of "The Import
Company," was dissolved on the tenth day of March, nineteen
hundred and twenty-one.
The said business has been acquired by the said GEORGE
HOLYFORD THOMPSON and THOMAS MACKENZIE THOMPSON,
and will be carried on by them as the only proprietors thereof.

COOK COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the
Cook County Council hereby resolves as follows:
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £150 (being 10 per cent. of an original
loan of £1,500), authorized to be raised by the Cook County
Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for metalling four
miles of the Lower Hangaroa Road, the said Cook County
Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of a one-
hundredth of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value
of all rateable property of the Lower Hangaroa Special Rating
District, comprising Secs. 1 and part 19, Blocks VII, VIII,
Hangaroa; Sec. 18, Blocks VII, VIII, Hangaroa; Secs. 3, 20,
Blocks IV, VIII, Hangaroa; Small Grazing-run 27; Sec. 1,
Block I, Patutahi; Secs. 1, 3, 4, Block V, Patutahi; Secs.
11, 9, Block VIII, Hangaroa; Sec. 4, Block IX, Patutahi;
Secs. 27/30, 37/41, 43, 47/73, 86, Hangaroa Village; Sec. 2,
Hangaroa-Matawai; Small Grazing-run 65; Secs. 25, 26,
74 to 77, 36, 42, 45, 46, 78, 79, Block VIII, Hangaroa; Secs.
1 of 4, parts 5, 6, 1 of 6, 7, 10, 12/14, 15/17, 22, Block VIII,

And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate
during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on
the first day of July in each and every year during a period
equal to the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six
and a half years, or until the loan is fully paid off. The rate
of interest to be four and a half per cent.
