shown on Deeds record 17A/407 as aforesaid, to the north-west corner of part Lot 5, Clendon’s Grant, containing 54 acres 3 roods 10 perches, shown on Deeds record R. 185/508 as aforesaid ; thence along the northern boundary of the said part Lot 5 to its northernmost corner ; and thence in a south-easterly direction along the eastern boundary of that lot to the north-west corner of Price’s subdivision of Clendon’s Grant, the place of commencement : be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Admiral of the Fleet, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath, Member of the Order of Merit, Knight Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor-General and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies ; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this 31st day of March, 1921.

INFORMATION has been received, from Captain J. Bol- lons of the Government s.s. “Hinemoa,” to the effect that several lines of soundings have been taken across and along the Kaipara Bar.
With the lower beacon in line with the flagstaff the shoalest water obtained was 26 ft. at L.W.O.S. tides.
With the beacons in line the shoalest water obtained was 24 ft. at L.W.O.S. tides.
This notice is supplementary to Notice to Mariners No. 65 of 1920.
The following publications are affected : Admiralty Charts 2614 and 2543 ; “New Zealand Pilot,” 9th edition, 1919, pages 57 to 59 ; “New Zealand Nautical Almanac,” 1921, page 286.

NOTICE is hereby given that the leases and licenses of the undermentioned lands having been declared forfeited by resolution of the Auckland Land Board, the said lands have thereby reverted to the Crown, under the provisions of the Land Act, 1908, and the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915.

Land in Wellington Land District for Sale or Lease to Discharged Soldiers.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned lands are open for sale or lease to discharged soldiers under the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, and the regulations thereunder ; and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Wellington, up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Thursday, the 5th May, 1921.
The lands may be purchased for cash or on deferred payments, or selected on lease for thirty-three years, with right of renewal for further successive terms of thirty-three years, with right to purchase the freehold.
Applicants must appear personally before the Land Board for examination at the Druids’ Hall, Ridgway Street, Wanganui, on Tuesday, the 10th May, 1921, at 10 o’clock a.m., but if any applicant so desires he may be examined by the Land Board of any other district.
The ballot will be held at the Druids’ Hall, Ridgway Street, Wanganui, at the conclusion of examination of applicants.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION.
Haunui No. 2 Settlement was purchased from Mr. Henry Collier, and is situated about four miles from Wangaehu Railway-station, post-office, dairy factory, and school, and adjoins Haunui No. 1 Settlement. Access by metalled road. The property consists of river flat, alluvial land, particularly adapted for dairy farming.
DESCRIPTION OF SECTIONS.
Section 1s is situated about four miles from Wangaehu by metalled road. Strong, heavy, semi-alluvial land, all level and drained. Bulk of it in crop, but will be regrassed shortly. Watered from artesian bore on Section 4s. Fenced on road and north boundary.
Section 2s is situated about four miles from Wangaehu by metalled road. Good, strong, heavy, semi-alluvial soil. Land all level and drained. All in crop at present, but to be regrassed shortly. Watered from overflow of artesian bore on Section 4s.
Section 3s is situated about four miles from Wangaehu by metalled road. Good land, strong semi-alluvial soil ; all level, in grass ; ploughable, but has not been ploughed. Watered from overflow of artesian bore on Section 5s.
Section 4s is situated about four miles from Wangaehu by metalled road. Nearly all alluvial land, in grass. Watered by river and artesian bore.
Section 5s is situated about four miles from Wangaehu by metalled road. Strong alluvial land. Has a twelve-bail cowshed, engine-room, and separator-house with concrete floor, also artesian bore.
Section 6s is situated about four miles from Wangaehu by metalled road. About half river deposit, balance strong semi-alluvial land. Watered by artesian bore on Section 5s.
Section 7s is situated about four miles from Wangaehu by metalled road. Strong semi-alluvial land, in grass. Watered from overflow of artesian bore on Section 5s.
IMPROVEMENTS.
The improvements which are included in the capital value of the sections are as follows : Section 1s—fifty chains fencing, £75 ; drains, £50. Section 2s—forty chains fencing, £60 ; drains, £50. Section 3s—forty-two chains fencing, £63 ; concrete trough, £20. Section 4s—fifty chains fencing, £75 ; artesian bore, £50. Section 5s—seventy-six chains fencing, £114 ; artesian bore, £50. Section 6s—eighty chains fencing, £120 ; concrete trough, £20 ; yards, £20 ; shelter-shed, £20. Section 7s—fifty chains fencing, £75 ; water-trough, £10.
