CUST DOMAIN.

All that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing
by admeasurement 22 acres 3 roods 34 perches, being Reserves
2422, 2423, and 3958, situated in Block VII, Mairaki
Survey District. Bounded towards the north by a public
road, 1340 links; towards the east by Reserve 743 and a
public road, 950 and 50 links respectively; again towards
the north and again towards the east by public roads, 1474
and 340 links respectively; towards the south by Section
15484, 2814 links; and towards the west by Section 15483,
1340 links. As the same is more particularly delineated
on the plan marked L. and S. 1/75, deposited in the Head
Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington,
and thereon bordered red.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by
section forty of the Public Reserves and Domains Act,
1908, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion
of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby
appoint
FRANK BARTLETT,
PERCY BAYLEY,
ALEXANDER CARTER,
JOHN RICHARD CURLEY,
WILLIAM EDGAR JOHNS,
HENRY JOLLY, and
SAMUEL SCRUBY
to be the Silverdale Domain Board, having control of the
land described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby
appoint Saturday, the seventh day of May, one thousand
nine hundred and twenty-one, at two o'clock p.m., as the
time when, and the Public Hall, Silverdale, as the place
where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

Making Regulations for Harbour of Westport.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 24th day of
March, 1921.
Present:
THE RIGHT HONOURABLE W. F. MASSEY, P.C., PRESIDING
IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS it is provided by section two hundred and
seven of the Harbours Act, 1908 (hereinafter called
"the said Act"), that a Harbour Board may from time to
time, by by-laws made under the said Act, do all or any of
the things set forth in the said section:
And whereas it is provided by section nine of the said
Act that in any harbour where there is no Board, or where
any Board is dissolved under the powers contained in the
said Act, the Governor-General in Council shall have all the
powers, functions, duties, and authorities by this Act con-
ferred upon Harbour Boards, and may exercise the same in
accordance with the said Act, and that any power or autho-
rity conferred upon the Governor-General in Council which,
in the case of a Harbour Board, would be exercised by or
under by-laws to be made by such Board shall and may be
exercised under regulations to be made by Order in Council
gazetted:
And whereas the Westport Harbour Board will, under the
provisions of the Westport Harbour Board Act, 1920, be
abolished on the first day of April, one thousand nine hundred
and twenty-one, and it is desirable to make regulations in
respect of the Harbour of Westport:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of
the powers conferred upon him by section nine of the said
Act, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in
that behalf, and acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby
make the following regulation, which shall have effect in
respect of the Harbour of Westport on and from the first
day of April, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-one.

REGULATION.

ALL by-laws heretofore made by the Westport Harbour
Board and now in force shall continue in force as if made by
the Governor-General in Council as regulations under the
provisions of section 9 of the said Act.

Prescribing the Rate of Interest to be paid by the Cambridge
Borough Council in respect of the Balance (Β£2,000) of a Loan
of Β£5,000 raised for the Construction of various Municipal
Works.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 24th day
of March, 1921.

IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS section thirty-three of the Finance Act,
1920, provides that, notwithstanding anything to
the contrary in any Act or in any rule of law, where a local
authority or public body has been authorized before the
passing of the said Act, or is thereafter authorized, to borrow
money, whether pursuant to a poll of ratepayers or other-
wise howsoever, at a specified rate of interest, and such money
or any part thereof has not been borrowed, the local authority
may, with the precedent consent of the Minister of Finance,
borrow such money or such part thereof as has not been
borrowed at such rate of interest as may be prescribed by the
Governor-General in Council:
And whereas the Cambridge Borough Council has been
authorized to borrow the sum of five thousand pounds at five
and a quarter per centum, and two thousand pounds has not
been borrowed:
And whereas the Minister of Finance has given his pre-
cedent consent as required by the above-recited section
thirty-three, and it is desired that the rate of interest at
which the money may be borrowed be increased to five and
a half per centum:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
doth hereby prescribe that the rate of interest that may be
paid by the Cambridge Borough Council in respect of the
two thousand pounds not borrowed shall be five and a half
per cent., and the said Cambridge Borough Council is hereby
authorized to borrow the sum of two thousand pounds at the
rate of interest prescribed.
