the sum of one hundred and fifty thousand pounds at such rate of interest as will produce to the lender a return not exceeding five and a half per centum per annum, and one hundred and forty-five thousand four hundred and four pounds has not been borrowed :

And whereas the Minister of Finance has given his precedent consent as required by the said section, and it is desired that the rate of interest at which the money may be borrowed be altered to five and three-quarters per centum :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby prescribe that the rate of interest that may be paid by the Lyttelton Harbour Board shall be five and three-quarters per cent., and the Lyttelton Harbour Board is hereby authorized to borrow the sum of one hundred and forty-five thousand four hundred and four pounds at this rate.

Consenting to Land in the Borough of St. Kilda being taken for the Purposes of a Public School.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 24th day of March, 1921.

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE W. F. MASSEY, P.C., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the land described in the Schedule hereto being taken for the purposes of a public school, such land being occupied as a garden.

ON the recommendation of the Native Land Purchase Board, referred to in section three hundred and sixty-three of the Native Land Act, 1909, and in exercise of the power in this behalf conferred upon him by that section, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby prohibit, for the period of one year from the date of this Order in Council, all alienation of the Native land specified in the Schedule hereto other than alienation in favour of the Crown.

WHAREPUHUNGA No. 16B Block, Wharepapa Survey District : Approximate area, 4,857 acres 3 roods 20 perches.
