the original loan of £1,000), authorized to be raised by the Whangarei County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of completing the construction of the Pipiwai Road in the Riding of Wairua, in the County of Whangarei,
the Whangarei County Council makes and levies a special rate of one-fifth of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property within the said Pipiwai Special Loan Area.

That such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

WHANGAREI COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.—MANGAKAHIA RIDING RATING AREA.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the Whangarei County Council hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on an additional loan of £75 (being 10 per cent. of the original loan of £750), authorized to be raised by the Whangarei County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of completing the erection of a workman's dwelling in the Riding of Mangakahia, in the County of Whangarei, the Whangarei County Council makes and levies a special rate of 1/90th of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property within the said Mangakahia Riding, such riding being a legal subdivision of the said County of Whangarei.

That such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

THE MOANATAIARI GOLD-MINING COMPANY (LIMITED).

IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION.

NOTICE is hereby given that an extraordinary general meeting of the above company will be held at the office of the Liquidator, No. 219 Victoria Arcade, Queen Street, Auckland, on Wednesday, the 18th day of January, 1922, at the hour of three o'clock in the afternoon, for the purpose of laying before such meeting the Liquidator's account showing his acts and dealings, and the manner in which the winding-up of the company has been conducted and its assets disposed of.

AWATERE COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE ON LOAN OF £700.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the Awatere County Council hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest and also the other charges on a supplementary loan of seven hundred pounds (£700), authorized to be raised by the Awatere County Council, under the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, for the purpose of paying for the increased cost of the Medway Bridge, the said Awatere County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three twenty-fifths (3/25ths) of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in a special rating area comprising
Lot part 3, D.P. 474, Blue Mountain Survey District :
Part Lot 2, D.P. 344, Lot 1, D.P. 474, Awatere Estate ;
part Lot 2, D.P.s 344 and 632, part Lot 5, D.P.s 807 and 345, Awatere Estate; Blue Mountain Survey District :

containing 36,654 acres, Awatere Estate, Upper Awatere Riding, Awatere County. And that such rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the first day of February and the first day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE ON LOAN OF £4,000.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the Awatere County Council hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest and also the other charges on a loan of four thousand pounds (£4,000), authorized to be raised by the Awatere County Council, under the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, for the purpose of erecting a bridge over the Awatere River and making approaches thereto, at a point known as the Limestone Crossing, Upper Awatere Riding, Awatere County, the said Awatere County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of thirteen twenty-fifths (13/25ths) of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in a special rating area contained within the following boundaries,—
All that area of land, situated in the Awatere County, Marlborough Land District, containing approximately 252,715 acres, bounded as follows : Commencing in Block XI, Hodder S.D., at the saddle, being the intersection of the northern boundary of Run 109A and the Awatere County ; thence in an easterly direction by the said boundary of Run 109A to the Penk River ; thence generally in a southerly direction by the Penk River, the northern and western boundaries of S.G.R. 161, by the latter boundary produced to the Awatere River Road, by the Awatere Road to the Hodder River, and by the Hodder River to the summit of the Inland Kaikoura Range ; thence generally in a south-western direction by the summit of the said range to the source of the Red Hill Stream, by the Red Hill Stream to the Clarence River, and by the Clarence River to the Gloster River ; thence generally in a north-westerly direction by the Gloster River to the Carter Saddle, and by the main range forming the south-western boundary of Run 119 through the Barefell Pass to the boundary of the Awatere County as described in the New Zealand Gazette of 31/5/1917 ; thence in a north-easterly direction by the boundary of the said Awatere County to the point of commencement : excepting from the above description that portion of Run 109B within the Awatere County situated in Blocks XI, XII, and XV, Spray S.D.
And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the first day of February and the first day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.—SEWER EXTENSION 10-PER-CENT. ADDITIONAL LOAN, £1,300.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, and of all other powers enabling it in that behalf, the Whangarei Borough Council hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £1,300, authorized to be raised by the Whangarei Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of extending the sewerage system of the borough, the Whangarei Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-eighteenth part of a penny (1/18d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of Whangarei, comprising the whole of the Borough of Whangarei; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
